Publisher's summary

Navy Captain Wes Masters, newly posted to head the White House Medical Unit, is a physician with only one patient, but her job is twenty-four/seven. Her charge is simple - protect and preserve the well-being of the most powerful man in the world - the President of the United States. As the First Physician, Wes must travel by President Andrew Powell's side, in the hot zone, and with everything she needs to save his life, or in case he becomes injured or falls ill. Her job gets even harder when she has to prove she is up to the task to Secret Service Agent, Evyn Daniels, a member of the elite Presidential Protection Detail, and a woman who challenges Wes on more than just the professional front...

Evyn isn't happy about inserting Wes into PPD, especially since Evyn believes the post should have gone to her good friend, Dr. Peter Chang. The stakes soon get even higher for all involved, when Homeland Security's Deputy Director, Cameron Roberts, is brought in to investigate a possible security breach, and everyone, including Evyn, is a suspect.

Editorial reviews

Oath of Honor is the third book in the First Responders series by Radclyffe. Combining personal drama with political realism a la "The West Wing", this audiobook is the story of Captain Wes Masters, first physician to the fictional president of the United States, Andrew Powell. As if the high-stress job wasn't enough, social rivalries and romantic intrigues break out within the Presidential Protection Detail. This couldn't be good for the President's safety….

Betsy Zajko's expressive voice has a smooth, silk-like tone, allowing listeners to really digest each detail of the prose.

Bad narration

What did you like best about this story?

I liked that it continued outside of the other Honor books, That being said, Abby Craden should have narrated this since some characters where from the Honor Series. When you get the voices of Blair, Cam and all other characters for so many books, it's kinda hard to listen to a book with same characters with different voices, takes away a lot.

Have you listened to any of Betsy Zajko’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No I haven't. I didn't like her narration. Didn't know which character was talking, nothing distinguishing in her voice to tell or any character's apart. I was looking forward to the Justice series coming to audible, but now that I know she will be narrating, not sure I'll but them. Abby Craden who did the Honor series........ FABULOUS!!!!!

Who was the most memorable character of Oath of Honor and why?

Evan

Oath of Honor was an enjoyable listen with an interesting story and some intrigue. After a stressful day at the office, listening to this book was a relaxing distraction. I enjoyed it.

So good

One of the best in the honor series but definitely wish the narrator was Abby .. this narrators monotonous tone was annoying. The store was amazing though

loved the book but.......

the narrator made it hard for me, I sometimes could not which character was talking and became grateful for tells ... such as " wes said" or "Evan ". I am huge fan of the honor series and can't wait to finish it but had a hard time going from one the all time great narrators like Abby C. to this book. I just could not hear any difference when she was reading. it is too bad bc this would have been an easy 5 star.

Great book

I always enjoy reading and listening to Radclyffes books. the narrator for this one is a little dry, not really showing the emotions of the characters in her reading, but I enjoyed it.

Monotone narration! :(

Only suffered through the book for the series. Otherwise the narration would have made me stop in the first chapter.

Another winner.

Not sure why this wasn't part of the honor series but I'm glad I came across it.

Oath of Honor

Radclyffe’s honor series continues. Narration was ok but nothing in comparison to that done by Abby Craden. It was difficult to differentiate the characters as there was no change in voice timber or tone. The story was good as usual. Will continue to the end.
