Publisher's summary

There's room at the inn. But you might not get out.

Nestled on a lonely stretch along the Pacific coast, quaint roadside outpost Harmony Corner offers everything a weary traveler needs - a cozy diner, a handy service station, a cluster of motel rooms...and the Harmony family homestead presiding over it all. But when Odd Thomas and company stop to spend the night, they discover that there’s more to this secluded haven than meets the eye - and that between life and death, there is something more frightening than either.

volume control

this was a very good book and overall performance. my only complaint is constantly having to control the volume. during the female parts it's too quiet to hear. and when the male character is back it's someone's ear shattering loud.

Must Read!!

As usual Dean Koontz's brilliant writing style and ability to evoke emotions come through clearly in this book. This book answers the question of what happened after the pair leave Half Moon Bay and before the arrive at Roseland. Excellent vocal performance by David Aaron Baker as was in the the previous books.
