About this listen

From New York Times best-selling author Kristen Proby comes the thrilling conclusion to her With Me in Seattle Mafia series....

Rafe “Rocco” Martinelli was never one for the family business. Alas, being born into a crime syndicate means doing the family’s bidding and making sure you’re connected - and, yes, breaking a few kneecaps. Rafe would love nothing more than to hang up his enforcer apron and live a quiet life, but as more and more higher-ups in rival clans turn up dead, Rafe realizes he doesn’t have a choice. Especially not when the captivating and gorgeous bratva princess needs his help.

Dr. Annika Tarenkov learned early on that her life belongs to her family. She’s a pawn in the long game, a bargaining chip for power and prestige. She gave up the only person in her life she thought she could be happy with, all for the greater good of the family. Now, a newly made widow and desperately seeking answers, she’s forced to confront her past as it converges with her present. But all it does is make her wonder about her future and how she can make Rafe hers again. While being with him is like wrangling a toddler at times, he still makes her heart race and her breath catch. And she wouldn’t feel safer with anyone else.

With the chips seemingly stacked against them, they must work to uncover the perpetrators of the nefarious plot that’s been brewing for some time - before it’s too late.

Awesome!!!

Off the Record is thrilling, dangerous and sexy,

Rafe Martinelli and Annika Tarenkov have a very Intimate history. Because of who they are they don’t always get to choose the things they want and have to do things they are told. Something that was absolutely amazing had to end but no choice of their own. Fast forward a few years- Annika has become a successful doctor and Rafe has settled into his role in the family. Annika thought she married one man and got a completely different one after the I Do! He’s out of her life forever but the mess he made is still flowing onto Annika. Rafe refuses to sit by and watch his one true love be hurt anymore. Rafe will allow nothing to stand in his way from keeping his woman safe ever again.

Off the Record is intense, thrilling, dark and dangerous and oh so sexy. Annika and Rafe have so much sexual tension built up between them and now we understand why. Two people that have loved each other for over a decade and having to keep their distance has taken a toll on both of them. I knew their chemistry was going to be off the charts. Their passion is intimate and intense. They are quite spellbound by each other and it is quite sexy. The trust that Annika Rafe developed years ago carries onto the present day. Rafe and Annika get a second chance at something they both so longed to have.

Kristen Proby wrapped up the With Me in Seattle: Mafia Series perfectly with Off the Record. She totally rocks Mafia Romance. It’s intense and dangerous yet sexy and entertaining. All questions answered and leaves a big smile on your face at the end. Crazy mob family, sometimes you just can’t help to love them.

Narrators Jason Clark and Erin Mallon are on point. They deliver the story in a way that is both thrilling and seductive.

What A Conclusion!!

Oh my what an epic conclusion to what has been a whirlwind series! Kristen Proby please know I am here for all the mafia you want to write. This series features standalone stories for three different couples but you will enjoy so much better if you start from the beginning with Underboss so I recommend that one first. It also gives you time to truly fall in love with the two families.
Off the Record is Rafe and Annika’s story and oh what a second chance story this was. Rafe, his dedication and his love for Annika was everything. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for the woman he loved. He was so dreamy. Annika had all the understanding reasons to keep her walls up but with a love like theirs, those walls will only stay up for so long. I loved the sexual tension and angst, the suspense and anticipation, it was built up so well. I was on pins and needles waiting for these two to finally get together and when they did: hello fireworks!🔥
This story had me hooked onto every word because I needed to know how it’d all end. I thought I knew everything but then Kristen Proby through in a twist that had me literally gasping out loud in shock. I loved the way the ending brought everything full circle but I’m already missing my Martinelli and Tarenkov families. I need a bonus epilogue like stat. And omg Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon narrating: freaking perfection!

Loved Rafe and Annika

Off the Record Is the 3rd book in the With Me in Seattle series, and what a way to finish off the series. It can be read as a standalone but the characters from the previous book are intertwined. Rafe and Annika have been in love with each other since college. Coming from two mafia families that had been feuding they had been forced to sacrifice their love. Time passes, and they have both moved on or so they thought . Heartbreak, lies, deception, marriages, broken promises, blackmail and extortion, killing or mafia families and Rafe and Annika are in the middle of the storm. Unable to fight their love any longer, they come together with the 2 Martinelli brothers, and their girls to battle the evil forces that are trying to take out all the mafia families. Loved to see them get their happy ending. Great series. Great audiobook listen as well.

Angsty Yearny Second Chance Mafia Romance

I have been dying for Annika and Rafe's story and it was everything I had hoped for. From the first book in the mafia series you could tell there was some serious chemistry and heat simmering between these two. This story did not disappoint and provided all the smolder, angst and yearning I could handle, without putting their coupling off too long. They are honest with the other about what they are feeling and their communication throughout the story made my heart happy. The drama and mystery in this book is fast paced and there was a lot going on, some of which I found resolved a little too quickly, but it kept me on the edge of my seat quickly turning pages.

I am so happy Annika finally got her HEA! I can't wait to see if they drop into future Seattle stories!

The audiobook was absolute perfection. Jason Clarke was the perfect protective Rafe and Erin Mallon brought a lot of power and ferocity to Anika, bringing her strong independent character to life.

I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily give my review.

Great conclusion to the series

As the third and final book in the With me in Seattle Mafia series this book wrapped it all up nicely. There are some huge twists that I never saw coming as well as some expected and predictable events that finish the story of the 3 Martinelli brothers and the women they fall for. I liked the fact that all the characters from the first two books play a prominent role in this one as well. Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon are brilliant and take the book to another level of enjoyment.

Quick Mafia Romance Series

This is an ARC review. All opinions are solely my own.

Off the Record is book 3 of Kristen Proby's With Me In Seattle Mafia series. This is a very fast paced series that has to be read in order or you will not understand all the players in the story. This book is narrated by Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon. The way these narrators embody the characters makes the listener feel like the characters were written for their voices.

Rafe and Annika have tried to stay as in the shadows of their family businesses as possible. But when the business comes knocking on their front doors they are forced to confront their pasts. These two have been fighting their feelings even longer. Now that each are unemcumbered they can explore what their hearts have always known.

Kristen Proby is the master of intertwined family and friend romances. I love the way she blends each book seamlessly together. I will always come for a Kristen Proby series.

Got to love the martinellis

Kristen Proby never disappoints and this addition/conclusion to the Seattle Mafia series is even better than I expected. I could not put this book down. Seeing how strong Annika is and see Annika and Rocco find each other again and learn to be together was great. Getting to see the families work with each other to bring down those trying to hurt everyone was great. The Seattle series is Jen of the best series and love that it keeps getting more people involved. Kristen Proby is on of the best. Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon kept you interested and did a great job with narration.

Great narrators for the book

This is the third book in the With Me in Seattle Mafia series and the last of the Martinelli brothers. I have been waiting to hear all about Rafe and Annika since Rafe was mentioned in book one.
Rafe and Annika's story started while they were quite young and they took their relationship to college. Unfortunately, they were torn apart by family feuds and the fact that Annika didn't want to be more involved with the Family than she already was. She ends up marrying another man and he is not who she thought he was. He brought evil to her door and she thinks she is not deserving of Rafe or an HEA.

If you know the Martinelli brothers, they won't take no for an answer and they will protect their loved ones with every bit of their soul. Rafe never let Annika go and now that she is free of her husband, they are free to be together, right? Not so fast. There is always more to the story and we get all those loose end wrapped up in this 3rd book.
This book and this series was fast paced and full throttle ahead. I wanted more to some of the back stories and I wanted more about Annika and her relationship with her ex brought into the book so we could get more 'Mafia Rafe'. I wanted that grit and dirty part of Mafia life, but this was more Mafia Lite. But their story is still entertaining and the side characters all play a great role in all three books and their stories intertwine in a cohesive way. Will we see any of the side characters that didn't get book in future books?

With all that said, I listened to audio and loved the narrators. They really made the book that much more enjoyable. Jason Clarke was the perfect narrator for Rafe. He had that edge to his voice and when he went all alpha and protective, it was just what the story called for. And Erin Mallon is always on point. I think she is more romcom, but she fit Annika's character for this story. She brought some fun to her character and she gave her a little light that she needed after going through everything with her ex.

Overall, this was a fun and fast paced story and fast paced series. They are short and easy to read. It's light on mafia, but there was still that mystery and intrigue that pulled you in. The feuding families? What can I say, but they are a sneaky little bunch and I'm glad they are now a force to be reckoned with. I hope we see a certain guy that runs his boss' compound in Colorado. He is just itching for a book!

Fast Paced, Suspenseful

Off The Record is the third and last book in Kristen Proby’s With Me In Seattle Mafia Family series and, for me, was the best of the trilogy. Annika and Rafe met in college, fell in love but were separated because they come from two different crime families. Annika marries someone else but has never gotten over or stopped loving Rafe. Her husband was a cruel man, hurting her and forcing her to engage in questionable activities and making her think that Rafe would never want her after the things that she’s done. Annika’s husband is killed and as she is trying to piece her life back together, Rafe lets her know that he still has the same feelings for her just as he did all those years ago. When photos show up of Annika in compromising positions, the families must pool their resources to find out who is behind the blackmail.

Along with the couples from the first two books and with both the families working together, Annika and Rafe embark on a cross country search to find the blackmailer and uncover an intricate and deep plot against all the most prominent crime families in the country that goes beyond just the blackmail towards Annika.

The book is fast-paced, suspenseful, throws in a couple of surprise twists and has the signature potent chemistry between the main characters that I have come to expect from Kristen Proby. She writes strong females, caring alpha heroes and always great friendships between all the characters. Hands down the best of the series.

The narration from Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke was spot on and really enhanced the story.
