The book was very interesting and spooky. There were parts that were repetitive but I appreciate the scientific approach. However, I wish I read the book rather than listen to it. Here's why:
The reader/narrator was so flat in his delivery and boring, it really distracted from the book. Almost monotone in his delivery and his emphasis on the wrong words makes me wish someone else, anyone else, was reading this book!
In the future, I'll be sure to check who the narrator is on my audio books and avoid this guy completely.

Great book.... awful audio

I thought this was very interesting and I liked the narration. The narrator's voice was understandable and easy to listen to so you can focus on the story. I would recommend this book.

I really enjoyed this

This was an interesting read for sure! I did not know a lot of the information surrounding the home, and enjoyed the walk through and descriptions of the different investigations that occurred.

For those who enjoy a bit of paranormal, this is a great read.

All of Richard Estep’s books are great, and this one is no different. I love how he takes a more scientific approach towards his investigations. He will debunk or question many things that happen, where other investigators would immediately call paranormal activity. However he’s always open to it being paranormal, and he gets some great evidence. He also doesn’t pretend to be an expert in the field, because truly no one is. Everyone who is into the paranormal and trying to learn whatever we can, and Richard is no different. I wish more investigators were like him, because I think the field would get more respect and serious study. I highly recommend this and all of his books.

Spooky!!

Good story. Bad sound quality. Narrator was apparently sitting in a phone booth during recording.

Good story. Not so good audio.

I enjoyed this book, especially learning about the scientific approach to the Monroe House investigation. Author Richard Estep provided plenty of quantifiable evidence to balance out the emotional evidence. Some of the repetitive information was tedious by the end. The narrator had an odd manner of reading (for example, putting emphasis on the wrong words) that took away from my enjoyment. I think this is the first time I've read a Richard Estep book; will definitely be looking for more -- but hopefully a different narrator.

Spooky and thought provoking

The story was good. I like that they looked for explanations for the sounds and such they encountered. It would have been nice to hear the evp’s.

Love local stories.
