Publisher's summary

She seeks the truth. He seeks revenge.

“Gripping, intriguing, sinister…had me hooked from the first page!” (Karen Hamilton, author of The Perfect Girlfriend)

Charlotte wants to start fresh. She wants to forget her past, forget prison and, most of all, forget Sean. But old habits die hard. Despite the ankle monitor she must wear as part of her parole agreement and frequent visits to her therapist, she soon finds herself sliding back toward the type of behavior that sent her to prison in the first place. The further down that path she goes, however, the closer she gets to the crime that put her in prison all those years ago. And that’s the one memory she can’t face. Until, one day, Sean tracks her down.

Amy Lloyd, the internationally best-selling and award-winning author of The Innocent Wife, returns with a chilling portrait of a woman trying to be good, even when she isn’t sure she wants to be.

Interesting listen

This was one of those stories that you weren’t sure if you liked it or not, but you couldn’t put it down. I had to rewind and listen to the end a couple times and to be honest, I’m still not sure I understood the ending!

past and present collide

Interesting listen. A story about the past and present that collide. Kept my attention throughout and I was surprised at the end. Great narrators! Dark but interesting and not too horrible.

Not gonna lie...it was really good!

This was not your typical thriller. I enjoyed the two POVs which the narrators performed quite well. Had to rewind the last few minutes twice to listen again and make sure I grasped the twist. Wow, is all I can say! If you like suspense, this one delivers.

A chilling portrait of a woman on the edge

“One More Lie” by Amy Lloyd, is a brilliant and suspenseful thriller. One of the best in my vast Audible library. This emotionally charged thriller had me tearing up and craving more. The talented narrators, Tamaryn Payne and Joe Gaminara, bring the story to life with their perfect chemistry. Charlotte is a complex and relatable character whose past mistakes continue to haunt her. As she tries to start anew, she finds herself slipping back into old habits. Lloyd’s writing is superb, weaving a sinister and intriguing narrative that explores the darker aspects of human nature. With its unexpected twists and turns, this book kept me guessing until the very end. “One More Lie” is a must-listen for fans of psychological thrillers. Highly recommended and worth a credit, however, I lucked out and found this gem during an Audible 2-for-1 sale. I will be searching for more by Lloyd.

Disappointing

The story was interesting kept waiting for something to happen. But nothing came together. Don’t waste a credit. No closure whatsoever in the ending..
