Grayson has a lot of regrets in his life but leaving Emma is the one that haunts him. He had planned to finished out his term with the military but one mission changed everything and it has shown him that life can be taken in the blink of an eye and he is determined to win back the heart of the only woman he has ever loved.

With the help of her family Emma is balancing school, working and being a single mother. Her heart broke for the second time when she found out that Grayson had passed away so when he calls she is shaken to the core.

When they reunite the chemistry and connection between them is stronger than ever but he is still dealing with the aftereffects of his service and she has a secret that will change everything. The narrators do a great job of bringing out all the emotion and angst of this story.

You have to read the first book to understand the second and the second answers questions of the first. Basically the first book ended on a cliff hanger. After all the building up they were doing for a relationship, why all of a sudden at the end, they were separated and living singular lives ?

Only for her answers that but to me it’s a poor excuse because he was so in love with her but he decided to just up and leave? If you love her so much why leave in the first place ? He was letting the situation with his dad and her dictate his love life.

The story line is intriguing and creativity and put together well, but the saturation of sex scenes and detail is just cringe.

Perfect besides for one thing

Cristen Harber won me over right away with this riveting story about two kids from opposite sides of the tracks falling in love. It began with book one and continues here. Well narrated, it was a treat to listen as well-developed, unforgettable characters were meant to share thier future. The angst level is high because the path to their HEA is not easy. Now I'm moving on to book three... I'mean off to one-click!

Only For Her by Cristin Harber is the second book in her Only series. It continues the story where Only For Him left off, so you must read this in order. Once again Cristen Harber has captured my heart and does not let go.

When Grayson Ford felt he had one chance of escaping the hell he called his life, he knew he must take it. Even if it meant loosing the one thing he loved the most.

Ever since that one unforgettable night with the love of her life, Emma Kingsley's life has been changed. She now works three jobs, goes to school full time and does everything she has to do to support her reason for living; including being a stripper, to make ends meet.

When Grayson find himself severely injured and the only one left alive out of his entire squad, it puts things into perspective. He is now home and has one mision, to make Emma Kingsley his again.

I could not get enough of this story. From start to finish I devoured it to find out what would happen next. I am really looking forward to the next book in this series!

PS- The audio version of this book only enhanced Cristin's brilliance as an author. Jeffrey Kafer and Xe Sands do a fantastic job of narrating this story.

Only For Her is book 2 in the Only series by Cristin Harber. Book 1 ended with Emma being told that Grayson has been killed in the line of duty while in the army. She later finds out that he is still alive and in town. He finds out where she lives through a favor from a friend and shows up on her doorstep. When she finally lets him in he discovers that not only did he leave Emma without a word, he left their daughter too.

Narration by Xe Sands and Jeffrey Kafer was great.
