Publisher's summary

A Gotrek and Felix Novel.

Gotrek and Felix delve into the dark places of the world once again, to help a dwarf prince reclaim his realm. But with greenskins around every corner, Gotrek's doom could be at hand...

Listen to it because...

A new era begins for Gotrek and Felix! A long time has passed and the world has changed, but their penchant for getting into trouble certainly hasn't...

The story:

Gotrek and Felix – unsung heroes of the Empire, or nothing more than common thieves and murderers? The truth perhaps lies somewhere in between, and depends entirely upon whom you ask...

After twenty years exploring other lands, Gotrek and Felix return to the Old World to find Chaos invaders rampaging through the lands of men, and the mountain holds of the dwarfs overrun by the foul orcs and goblins. Fulfilling an ancient oath, the pair travel deep beneath the world to help a dwarf prince reclaim his realm from the greenskins. But all is not as it seems, and Gotrek may finally meet his doom in the halls of his ancestors...

Another great Gotrek & Felix novel

Another entry in the Gotrek & Felix series, I have a small issue that’s pointed out in the beginning of the book.

a very good Gotrek and Felix story

a great return to form for Gotrek and Felix stories. the last several felt very distant from Gotrek, and this one gets more into Gotreks mind and past than the last several

I forgot how much i loved this one.

At 8 entries into the series, you are likely a fan. That said, i quite like this entry compared to many others. I find that gotrek and Felix as characters to be quite more alive, as well as their differences in thinking and culture. The side characters are all great, and the enemy of this book was actually quite entertaining.

The battles, the plot, the culture of the dwarves and so many more parts of the warhammer fantasy world are at their best in this novel, as most other Gotrek and Felix novels.

Keeble does a fantastic job, as always.

Masterpiece

One of the best fantasy books I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. Truly an amazing Gotrek and Felix story that brought many highs and lows

I’m sad

I’m so sad, the ending is a sad victory. But still it’s still very good.

Another fantastic edition

So glad we didn’t have to wait so long between giants later and orc slayer. Love this series to death. It’s really well done as normal, also pay my man loremaster of sotek. Thanks

Nathan Long and Jonathan Keeble deliver

I was a bit worried by the change in author and the GW-mandated time skip. But this might actually be my favorite Gotrek & Felix novel since Skavenslayer. There's some serious character development and high stakes, and the titular characters feel like the same people that they were in the King novels. The narration is flawless as always.

The adventures continue.

For the longest time I heard mixed things about this run of Gotrek and Felix. But this book was actually pretty darn good. I was invested the whole way and felt it delivered well. I recommend it.

Easily the best Gotrek and Felix novel to date

I’ve been pretty steadily going through all of these books, and you can’t beat Jonathan Keeble as a narrator. I’d listen to him read the phone book. And I’ve really enjoyed these books, some more than others. The one before this was OK, so I went into this one figuring it was going to run about the same. But this was quite far above the last book and any of the others. I think I enjoyed this more than any of the other books previously. Fantastic story, certain twists, that I just thought were great, and the stakes were definitely high.
