I love action and spy and good guy kicking bad guy's butt. This is all that and much more. And...and...it is well written. Which is not always a given. I do not like to compare characters, so suffice it to say, if you like action, read this

The first of Evan Smoke the dark superhero. The narrator is good, the story is great. If you like thrillers, romance, and kind and vulnerable assassins, this is your book.

This book is definitely one of my top 5 this year. The story was so unexpected and the twists and turns kept me glued.

Scott Brick must be ONE OF THE BEST narrators! Exceptional and he made the characters come alive.

Not super sold on the character as an actual human being (bit of a Mary Sue) but not bad for an exciting self-insert spy book. Most female characters lacking in dimension though.
