FROM THE INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF THE DCI RYAN MYSTERIES

The only way to catch a killer is to think like one...

When a senior Metropolitan Police officer and High Court judge die in quick succession, criminal profiler Doctor Alex Gregory is convinced their deaths are linked to the most shameful case of his career: the notorious wrongful conviction of Carl Deere, an innocent man found guilty of a series of heinous murders perpetrated by the ‘Soho Killer'. Four years later, released from prison and with his record wiped clean, Deere is an invisible spectre with a new name and a new face. But, as Gregory knows only too well, the past isn't easily forgotten, and revenge can be a powerful motive—even for an innocent man…

With Scotland Yard determined to avoid any further scandal, Gregory and his friend and mentor, Professor Bill Douglas, are left to fend for themselves. With no real evidence and the body count racking up, they know it's only a matter of time before their names are next on the killer's list…

Murder and mystery are peppered with romance and dark humour in this fast-paced thriller set amidst the scenic landscapes of Cambridge and London.

Great psychological thriller.

I couldn’t stop listening to this. I wanted to know whether my guesses were correct. And the narration was great—different accents made it clear which character was speaking.

LJ Ross/Alexander Gregory thriller

Author Ross's most recent thriller gets deeper into its hero's personal life and ends with a few things unresolved. But it hums along nicely with a scary villain and plenty of action. Another audiobook should be out soon with a few questions answered. With luck it will be performed by the excellent Richard Armitage with his many voices and accents, to which he has now added 'geordie' to my great delight.

Cliffhanger of all cliffhangers!

Now it makes sense. Why Panic and Amnesia are being released 1 month apart. Amnesia is actually Panic part 2. At least that's how I felt when I reached the end of Panic and sat there, mouth agape, wondering how I didn't see it coming. 😳 Damn you, LJ Ross! You've done it again. Led me right up to the edge and then withhold the resolution. When will I ever learn?!

Gregory Shines!

There’s nothing to ever dislike in this series, imho. Ross does an amazing job as always and I have already pre-ordered the next one!
