Adam loves Eve. Eve loves...Lilith?

Adam and Eve live in a suburban paradise. Eve is a stay-at-home mother of two; Adam works hard to provide for the family he loves. But despite how things look on the surface, Eve isn't happy. And when she meets Lilith by chance in a city park, her whole world begins to change. Lilith is offering Eve a fruit she's never tasted before; will Eve have the courage to partake?

Paradise is a short novella that reimagines the Book of Genesis in modern-day suburbia - with a queer twist. A blend of romance, introspection, and tongue-in-cheek humor, Paradise provides a fresh look at one of the oldest tales in the Western world.

Incredibly creative

...so much so, that I don't know if I can do it justice with this review. So I'll just say, "5 stars," and you need to read it for yourself. Everything I've read by Eliza Andrews so far has been wonderfully unique, and this story takes it to an entirely different level.

The narrator, by the way, was perfect.

A surprise! I wasn't sure I'd like it, but did!

This story was a thoughtful reimagining that actually worked. definitely some clever allegories and symbolism here. I will probably never look at an albino python quite the same way again though. :-D

Very interesting

This was very enlightening. It really spoke of how things get when communication is lost.

Wow this is such an odd fun story

It is nothing like I thought it would be. It’s symbolic but so cool and clever! I love Andrews style so much can not wait to read all of her books.

Always Love Rewrites of Biblical and Mythological Stories

A new take on Adam and Eve set in modern suburbia. When Eve realizes she is unhappy in her marriage and meets an albino python named Lilith she find her true self and finds the courage to try for a new paradise. Fun twist and great narration.

Brilliant!

This story shocks and delights and is incredibly creative. Mind blowing really. Bit if you are easily offended by ostensible blasphemy or cross species relations, stay away. I love this author.

We make our own paradise

I found this new take on the Adam and Eve story very interesting. I was glad Eve realized that she wasn’t happy with her life and chose to do something about it. Lilith doesn’t seem to be evil at all. She is more misunderstood and is just looking for love.

A Few Great,,,names.

It was a great new look at the Bible. This story should be reconsidered as a Modern day Sunday School. Off to my next Adventure.

Paradise A universal love story

Quirky, just like the world we live in. It shows us the judgmental side of humanity. It reflects all the worst qualities we share. It finds a path through love and trust. If we love no matter what our circumstances, orientation, or gender identity, we can be okay. It is worth the listen or the read.
