Publisher's summary

From critically acclaimed author Howard Andrew Jones comes a fantastical adventure of deep-water danger and unlikely alliances in Pathfinder Tales: Beyond the Pool of Stars, set in the award-winning world of the Pathfinder role playing game.

Mirian Raas comes from a long line of salvagers, adventurers who use magic to dive for sunken ships off the coast of tropical Sargava. When her father dies, Mirian has to take over his last job: a dangerous expedition into deep jungle pools, helping a tribe of lizardfolk reclaim the lost treasures of their people. Yet this isn't any ordinary job, as the same colonial government that looks down on Mirian for her half-native heritage has an interest in the treasure, and the survival of the entire nation may depend on the outcome....

Gripping

It had an excellent flow from start to finish leading off with some excellent lead into a character you don’t know that you will soon come to know and love as well as a cast of other characters that will grow on you and grow in their own ways changing into unique and fully fleshed characters

One of the best of the Pathfinder Tales. Made me fall in love with Lizardfolk - something In never thought would happen!

Awesome Book

The difference in voices really help with the large collection of characters. This story is a perfect example of a whole pathfinder campaign summed up into one story.

Wonderful!

The story is well crafted and the characters are well realized. It felt true to the Pathfinder game without feeling like “game fiction”. The narration was also top-notch. My highest recommendation!
