About this listen

Zoe is used to taking care of herself and has long ago accepted that if anything bad was going to happen, it was going to happen to her. So when she loses her job over something most bosses would probably be happy with and her life starts going down hill from there, she doesn't expect it to get any better.

She certainly didn't expect any help from the loud jerk next door, but then again she has nothing to lose so puts her trust in him and hopes for the best. What she didn't expect was the once in a lifetime opportunity that he offers her through an arrangement where they both benefit and no one is supposed to get hurt - but she should have known better because her luck has never been that good.

Like most Bradfords, Trevor has a soft spot for food, but that's about all. He leads a pretty straightforward life and likes to keep things simple and that includes his relationships. He wants the perfect woman and knows exactly what she'll be like. So when he discovers much to his horror that he's thinking about his frumpy little neighbor he decides the best way to get his head straight is by working her out of his system. He'll keep her around, but only until he finds perfection.

Would you listen to Perfection again? Why?

Absolutely!! A narrator can make or break a story for me! She made an already great book into an even better story!! This series is one of my absolute favorites! The characters and side characters are great! I have actually been crying laughing at some of the scenes! Just a great book!! Totally with a purchase or a credit!

LOVE THIS NARRATOR!!!!

Good book. Shows that men can be insensitive idiots and others good men. I loved the Bradford love of food. It was funny sad but a cute romance.

Loved it

It was several moments while listening to this audiobook where my job dropped open at this year horrible behavior of the male main character. Yes, he was meant to be an a jerk. I got that. he was basically a man child who thought he was God's gift to everything. and, I recognize that there are some topics we need to talk about to make people think about them in a different life. but I got sick and tired of both characters thinking how plain and overweight the female main character was. Is it reality? Yes. I've had those feelings about myself, but for it to continue for an entire book really ruined the story for me. It was horrifying and upsetting to me. That's not why I read romance. in the end, there was some definite swoon factor. I'm not sure if I want to continue with this series.

I had a hard time liking the male MC

There's just something so fun about the neighbors collection - they're silly and predictable but I just can't seem to put them down!

Silly, Sexy, and Utterly addictive

It is weird the things I retain. The central aspect of this book I retained from 2012 is the date that Zoe and Trevor go on. What I love about Perfection is Zoe, she isn't perfect like Haley, she is average, plump and can't cook. She has low self-esteem, and she is most women. At least most women I know.

Trevor is gorgeous, arrogant, and food-obsessed like all Bradfords, it's a thing. He has a weird idea of what his perfect woman should be the complete opposite of Zoe, and he doesn't even realize that she is perfect for him.

I liked the realness of this story. The very hot guy was hooking up with a frumpy plump girl but only on the DL. He was just waiting for something better to come along. Until he realizes there isn't anything better and he screwed up.

I am giving Perfection 4.5 Boundless Stars, and it was a lot of fun to listen too.

Okay, so I have to address some other reviews. This book was quirky, just like the one before. The food consumption that "plagued " the entire Bradford family was hilarious. It just added to the story and it was a different kind of love story anyway.

The two main characters were dealing with insecurities in a totally different spectrum. She considered herself fat and had financial issues and that Trevor was too good and good looking for her. His hangups came from his childhood and he thought that he needed to look and be perfect and that included the perfect looking woman as well.

There were some real assholes in this book and initially he was one of them, but he knew that about himself. So throughout the book and his inner thoughts he changed the way he saw Zoe and to him she was perfect and beautiful. His idea of perfection before he met Zoe was tall, thin, great rack....Zoe was the opposite.

One review said something like she gave him 4 babies and he still didn't make her feel like she was enough, this was not true. Zoe still had some work to do but I think it was so minimal by the end, but she knew he loved her and from the ending he showed all the time.

So please don't listen to the other reviews, although some were accurate there were some that seemed like people listened to the first few chapters and nothing else after that. This book was a wonderful love story and two people growing into themselves and their love.

Really Good!! Don't solely listen to the negative!
