About this listen

This bloody 10-year-old faces the deranged psychic who had his mother raped and father murdered, ripped apart his pixie companion, and hunted him relentlessly across a man-eating island long thought a mere fairy tale. Only when Peter accepts that he is the Pan can he embrace the true power of his mantle, his responsibility as the arbiter of God, and that he alone can prevent the fabric of reality from falling apart.

For eight millennia, the Pans of the Great Self have protected the powers of creation and the continuity of reality. As the first child Pan in millennia, Peter fights for life in a firestorm of personal and political power struggles. Trapped on a remote, man-eating island with his pixie attaché, Tinker Belle, he races to find his missing parents, build an army of bestial children, and fight off a desperate psychic bent on taking his powers for a virulent, transcontinental insurgency.

Peter must face the harsh realities that his parents may be dead, the Unionists now come for him, and the full responsibility of a mantle he barely understands lies on him, alone. If waves of enemy mages or Neverland’s monstrous beasts don’t kill the young Pan, the psychotic lost boy will.

Peter is the anchor book to the seven-book fantasy epic Legend of the Pan, an adult fantasy retelling of the Peter Pan saga. Advent, book one, is due out in the next year and will explore how the Pans came into being through a bloody conflict of magic, dragons and the generals of heaven.

An amazing journey!!!

Wow what a hidden gym! This is a very different take on the traditional Peter Pan stories. The narrator takes you to a whole new realm that I was quite unprepared for but nevertheless was excited to enter. I can’t wait for the next book and definitely can’t wait for Netflix to do a series on this! 5 stars all the way!

An adult take on a classic story

Emphasis on ADULT take - it involves some of the worst behavior of human beings. However, it drives the characters and the story. It is not used for shock value or to fluff the adultness of the tale.

The author definitely put time into the structure of the story but took the extra step of getting of the mind of each character. Peter's singular focus and idolization of his father, refusing to see him as anything but THE Pan until confronted with the truth and even then . . . Toodles is a lovable character with the innocence of a child and the resolve of a titan. Even the villains are tragically flawed, their minds driving their actions to ruin.

The performance was excellent and consistent, one of those narrators (yes it's the author) you could imagine reading your favorite books. This is a book I will remember, I will talk about, I will read and listen to again. Can't wait for the next !!

Don't hesitate, download it now!

This is such an incredible reimagining the classic character I was blown away by how much I enjoyed it. The world and characters created are amazing but what really hits a home run how well its narrated by the author himself. He does such a great job with every character, no two sound the same, he speaks clearly and even his characters with heavy accents are easy to understand. I literally listened to this book a twice in a row and am looking forward to a 3rd time soon.

Worth the time

Peter was a twisting, intriguing, and keep you in your toes story. If you except a story like the Disney movie you grew up with, you will be disappointed. But if you open this book for an amazing story with twists and turns, characters full of honesty and complexity, ones that you are able to empathize with, hate, and relate too. This book will NOT disappoint. Im definitely listening again and excited for the next book.

An Amazing Adventure

I absolutely loved it! The story is amazing and the voice acting is on point! The voice actor while playing all parts makes a seamless transition between characters.

This is a beautiful take on familiar characters we all know. I do recommend taking off the nostalgia glasses if you're expecting a direct take on the Peter Pan animated film. The way the author sets up the scenery is done in a beautifully descriptive way. I was hooked very early on, and fell in love with each character as they begin to develop through the story. By the end i'm left with enough questions to drive me to read more as future installments are released, but all loose ends for this book itself are tied up very nicely. I can't wait for Advent!
