About this listen

Hidden in the Nevada desert is America’s most advanced aerospace weapons – testing facility. Dreamland is the place where the nation’s top minds come to develop artillery and aircraft that push beyond the cutting edge. And where the Air Force’s top guns come to test them – on the front lines of a new era in warfare…A showdown between Indian and Chinese navies in the Pacific gives Dreamland the opportunity to test their new remote-operated underwater probe. Using the Piranha for surveillance, the U.S. watches as India and China circle each other like sharks. When the tension erupts into violence, innocent civilians are caught in the fray – and Captain Breanna Stockard is shot down trying to rescue them. To save her, Dreamland rushes an unmanned bomber project off the drawing boards – and in the sky…

The narrator almost made me stop listing. I will not listen to him again. He was really hard to listen to.

Bad narration

Overall it was a great book, but when Dog's daughter was lost at sea and the love thoughts between her and Stoner was not good. Still a great story.

Great book

Excellent

The content was not even within imagination of what is real or what could be real. The narration was not entertaining. The reader thought every military person has the same character and voice quality (lazy). To much reliance on sex to entertain -- not needed at all and in fact was distracting. I could not finish the book.

Not even close to good entertainment.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I can't imagine anyone enjoying it.
The book is obviously a bunch of notes for a book effort that were then thrown together as "scenes" for the book. The result is a bunch of unconnected fragments. I was stunned when the book ended. Practically in mid-sentence. I like Dale Brown but rate this as the worst thing he has ever published - by far.

Would you ever listen to anything by Dale Brown and Jim DeFelice again?

Yes, but not because of this book.

Would you be willing to try another one of Christopher Lane’s performances?

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Anger at getting ripped off by one of the 3 worst books I've ever purchased in my life!

Any additional comments?

Yes, grade is F minus, less than zero. An embarrassment to Audible.com even to sell it.

WORST BOOK OF THE YEAR

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.

While testing remote controlled underwater device (Piranha) in the Pacific, Dreamland crew becomes involved in a fight between China and India. As usual, Brown uses highly technical jargon for stuff that's in his imagination, detracting from the interesting story. B-52 agility and employment is beyond realistic imagination--it flies like a fighter. OK read, for those who can hack through the jargon.

The narrator is impossible to listen to. I've tried 3 times and he and the story are mind numbing!
Don't bother using a credit for this book.
