Publisher's summary

What happens between us is no one’s business but ours.

When grad student Seb Owens is recruited by The Billionaire Club to become a consort for one of their wealthy patrons, he thinks the whole idea would make for a great book. But for him? He’s not sure where he’d find the time. Not to mention, he’s already got feelings for a special someone - David Wright, a professor at the Christian university he attends.

But when David turns down Seb’s attempts to ask for more in their friendship, Seb’s wounded pride takes him straight back into the auspices of The Club.

I care for him deeply, but I’m not sure that’s enough.

It’s not that David doesn’t care for Seb. But he was raised conservatively, and Seb is so much younger than he is, not to mention the seeming impropriety in the way it would look if he was to be seen dating a student. But when David runs into Seb at a mixer for The Billionaire Club, however, he can’t help but see Seb in a new light.

In the end, he has to decide. Is playing by someone else’s rules worth missing out on his chance at real love?

Welcome to The Billionaire Club, where men of certain means are able to match themselves with high quality singles who agree to a relationship bound by contract. This steamy BDSM audiobook features an old-fashioned professor, a grad student who is unashamed to go after what he wants, and the frustrating pushback of a university determined to stifle the fragile feelings that spark between them.

Please note: This audiobook and every other audiobook in The Billionaire's Consort Series can be listened to in any order.

Hard to Enjoy

The story was great! The narrator was not. Weird accent, maybe? Hard to say what it was about the voice but it just wasn't a good fit. Not to mention he didn't follow the character actions.

wouldn't be my pick of narrator

Would I listen to it again: I'd probably read it rather than listen to it
Did the story keep me engaged: reasonably
Was I invested in the characters: mostly
What did I like about the story? entertaining story with a good pace and likeable characters.

David: stuffy college professor, author, and stuck in the mindset that age really matters.
Seb: graduate student with ample attitude, book editor and crushing on David.
A chance encounter at the Billionaire's Club puts these two men together. Will David's mindset and the restrictions of the College's policy forbidding their relationship keep them apart?

This is my first book narrated by Barney Parkwynne, the characters personalities were there and each character had his own voice, but the narration felt flat and the intonations in his voice weren't always in the right places.

Enjoyable quick listen

This is the third book in The Billionaire's Consort Series with developed characters. This story is about grad student Seb, and his professor David. Seb wanted a relationship with David, but due to the age difference, stuff upbringing, and the trouble they could get into with the university has David turning Seb down. Seb is recruited to the Billionaire club, where he finds David attending an event. The attraction is hard for both of them to ignore and when the university board finds out it will be threatened everything thing they are building. The narration was very well done.

Quick Listen

This is a pretty quick listen with a good story, fits in nicely with the series. Narration was Ok for the most part, At times David came off as wooden but overall it's worth the listen.

another match hard won

I loved this one so much that I had to listen to it twice back to back. Angsty at times, but an undercurrent of love and connection shines through. At times. I could have shaken each guy, but glad they saw the light and the path to each other's true hearts! I loved this one hard- every part. The narrator was fantastic. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this story and am giving an honest review.

Good storyline

I’m not usually into this type of genre but I really did enjoy David’s and Sebs story. Seb is a graduate student who know what he wants and goes for it. David is an older man who is set in his ways. Seb pushes David to try new things. I can’t wait to hear the next story in this series.

Entertaining

This is such an emotional book. Seb is approached to join The Billionaire Club to become a consort. He has had a crush on a professor at the university he attends but when the professor cuts him off about any kind of relationship he go to the club hoping to find someone. He is surprised when he runs into David there and he creates a scene. From there things get quite entertaining. First, Seb is no pushover, quite the opposite. He lets David know what he wants and needs. David feels afraid to enter into anything because of the age difference and he doesn’t want go get hurt. The path this story takes kept me listening every chance I got. The characters are strong. The story flow is good. I didn’t like the narrator, Barney Parkwynne for these characters. It is a personal opinion but I felt he was too monotone and I didn’t feel he had the right voice to represent these characters and that was a distraction. The story is good and I would have liked it be longer. I am curious to see how these two are doing years in the future. I am enjoying this series and recommend it. I was given a free copy and this is a voluntary review.

Worth a listen!

Great storyline with loads of angst and enough twists to keep you wondering where it will end.
