About this listen

Is Alec Winters a terrifying demon or a benevolent angel of light? You decide.

In Port City, Alec's traveling sales job takes him to Mobile, Alabama, where he finds the same type of criminals he has found in New Orleans. He can't stand idly by while women and children are mistreated and sold as sex slaves; he has to do something.

A protector of innocent victims and a "punisher" of those who hurt them.

While he is away on business, something terrible happens at home, and when he gets back, he will tear the city apart to find and punish those who are responsible.

Author's warning: Dark fiction story - this is an emotionally charged account that deals with elements of fear, death, and the darkest side of life. Not for the faint of heart, not recommended for those under the age of 17.

Fans of the television series Supernatural and Constantine will enjoy the Alec Winters series.

for the most part, the narrator does a wonderful job. However, he doesn’t do enough to distinguish his character voices between female and male. However, he does a wonderful job with accents. His performance does not take away from the story. this was a wonderful book! This is the third book in the series. If you have not started the series, start from book one. Alec is simply trying to fulfill, not only his destiny, but those of others. there is a wonderful level of suspense and excitement in this book! However, there is a huge, and I mean huge surprise ending! The author has totally shocked me with the ending of the book! There is something that happens, that will totally change everything for Alec.

extremely suspenseful!

Chariss Walker constructs her stories in a most unusual way. She tells a story and then comes back into it over and over providing more detail and back stories. Sometimes, you are wanting her to get on with it, but the wait is worth it as she fills in more details into the lives of her characters.

End of a Unique Story

This is the third book in the Alec Winters Series. Alec finds troubled people to help even when he is on business in Mobile, Alabama. While he is in Mobile, things are still happening in his home town of New Orleans. This series is really dark and depicts despicable actions of one human against another. It makes one question that when someone takes on vigilante justice, is it really so terrible? I recommend this series but with the caveat that it addresses dark and twisted issues that are not suitable for younger readers. Walt Allen's narration is great. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.

This story will keep you listening until the end. Alex is trying to help women and children that are mistreated. Unfortunately dangerous things have happened at home. The narrator makes you feel as if you are a part of everything. Can’t wait for the next.

Fascinating
