Publisher's summary

Springtime in Chilson, Michigan, means it's librarian Minnie Hamilton's favorite time of year: maple syrup season! But her excitement fades when her favorite syrup provider, Henry Gill, dies in a sugaring accident. It's tough news to swallow...even if the old man wasn't as sweet as his product.

On the bookmobile rounds with her trusty rescue cat Eddie, Minnie meets Adam, the old man's friend, who was with him when he died. Adam is convinced Henry's death wasn't an accident, and fears that his own life is in danger.

With the police overworked, it's up to Minnie and Eddie to tap all their resources for clues - before Adam ends up in a sticky situation....

Book 4

It would be an under statement to say Minnie has a lot going on. Planning a book fair with issues popping up. Moving back onto her house boat. New neighbor and maybe having to pay a boat slip now because of it. Bad weather. There is slight tension with a few friends at the library. Tucker and Minnie nonexistent relationship. But a potential new relationship. New friends. And Eddie goes missing! It all must have been stressful for Minnie.

Ready for book 5.

Love it

Brings back long forgotten fond memories of going out with Grandpa to the “syrup house”. And helping to hang the buckets. This was in the U.P. Then we got to take our own little tin cup off of its peg and dip it in the sweet liquid and have a drink. (We didn’t tell our moms that part)

LOVE EDDIE,LAURIE CASS

Have Enjoyed Every Story About Eddie, The Book Mobile Cat! He has a completely different kind of coat than any
black and white cat I know. Have never seen any cat with strips going the direction Eddie's are going!! I must agree
he is a very special new breed of cat that understands what people are saying and can communicate with people!
Especially people like Minnie!!

Such a fun series!

I have really come to love this series. I love all the characters including Eddie. I love the setting and the descriptions of northern lower Michigan. I love the fact that these are easy, fun, books, with a dash of murder abd mystery. These truly are cozy mysteries!!

Another good installment

Laurie Cass has crafted another good installment in the Bookmobile Cat Mystery series. If you’re a fan of cozy mysteries, you won’t want to miss this series, it’s a romping good time. I suggest starting with book one in the series.

Eng in the water

I thought it was a little far fetched that she dealt with the murderer and spent all that time in the water and not a cop or friend to be had to help.
