Publisher's summary

She thought her prayers had been answered. Now she’s praying for time.

Vanessa Everly is a successful actress in Los Angeles, but she’s still traumatized by the night that ripped her world apart. Eight years ago, Vanessa and her younger sister Roxanne were attacked on the beach in their hometown in Oregon - and Roxanne was kidnapped. Devastated, Vanessa ended her relationship with handsome medical student Christian Montgomery, whose troubled brother Brody was the police’s prime suspect.

Now, Vanessa receives the news she never thought she’d hear: Roxanne is alive. Arriving back in Everly Cliffs, Vanessa is reunited with her sister - and with Christian. Roxanne can’t remember what happened that night, but someone else can.... Who’s making threatening phone calls to Vanessa, and why has Brody suddenly gone missing?

Vanessa’s torment should be over, but it’s about to get much darker....

Excellent choice

I could not stop listening to the reading. The book is filled with a lot of twist. I am usually able to figure out the plot but not this time. It’s a very good book.

Great voice performance! Interesting story…

Plot was captivating and definitely NOT run of the mill - family intrigue, mystery and a bit of a love story thrown in - Well worth the time!

Too Many Holes

This is an excellent story that was just not well written. No one ever questioned Roxy on her return? she is gone for 8 years, and the.police talk to her once? No suggestion that she might need counseling? and why not consider she might be involved when people suddenly start dropping dead??

Also, why was it so important for us to know everyone's eye color?

Not worth the read

So drawn out for nothing exciting. Further, the wording used was literally for octogenarians and above.

Lots of twists and turns

I enjoyed the book, it was unpredictable and had several twists. I enjoyed the narrator, but at times her tone of voice did not match the action. Overall a good listen.

A Real Whodunit!

Solid story where things are not at all as they appear. Many types of mental illness, perversion, and addiction. High body count. Would have been more enjoyable with more than one narrator, because often it was hard to tell just which character was speaking.
