About this listen

Bick Downs and the Society of Cryptozoological Agents are dropped into the lush bamboo forests of Vietnam. They are searching for Gigantopithecus, the largest primate that has ever existed. But what they find deep and entangled amongst the trees is not the reclusive giant that roamed the bamboo forests of Southeast Asia several million years ago. Instead, they find something else entirely. The animal has evolved.

Great story! Horrible editing job

As an amateur paleontologist, I found the premise of this story fascinating! The cast of characters also fascinating and fairly well developed. Unfortunately between the author and the editor, they manage to for some reason feel the need to go in depth into certain characters back stories right in the middle of major events in the story itself! That along with numerous useless in-depth description of meaningless thoughts that the characters may or may not be having and suppositions by characters regarding other characters thoughts and whether or not they have any way of knowing what the other character might be thinking were befuddling and frustrating to see the very least! These meaningless and numerous ramblings pepper throughout the book would have prompted me to stop it and ask for a refund of my credit. However I must say that the story in and of it’s self was intriguing enough to convince me to push on through completion. Just prepare yourself for frustrated ramblings that should’ve been edited out well before publishing
