Finally we get to hear Tessa's story. Milo having been indroduced in the previous books did not let me down. How A.L. can constantly write charactors and stories that I seem to get lost in both emotionally and mentally, is so refreshing. So much depth to all the charactors. Thank You for not rushing the story and finally bringing these two together. Hints were dropped in the earlier books that there was someothing not quite right with Tessa's life. Here you get it all, her past and his.

I have no clue how to start this review.

This series as a whole is one of my absolute favorites ever. Milo and Tessa are definitely my second favorite couple in the series and I was not prepared for how much I ended up loving them. The chemistry and spark that these two have is palpable. You go through so much throughout this book. It was only a hell of an emotional journey, and it gave me all the feels!

I was fortunate enough to be able to listen to this book on audio and what a pleasure it was. Connor Craig and Samantha Brentmoor did an amazing job! I mean I couldn’t think of two people who would’ve been more perfect to voice these two.

This author does an absolutely fantastic job writing such a beautiful story and series. Her writing is enthralling and so effortless. I literally have no idea how she does it every single time, but I was absolutely sucked into it from beginning to end. There are so many ups, downs, twists, turns, and surprises you’re definitely in for a treat.

Oh this book was an emotional rollercoaster. Milo and Tessa shouldn’t work together, but oh my stars, they are perfect for each other. Tessa finally takes the brave step to leave her abusive relationship and Milo finds her one night and both their worlds change.

They’ve been in each other’s worlds for a while now, but it’s never been anything but on the surface. Tessa is a young woman that has a small circle but they are everything to her and when she lets Milo convince her to stay with him, during this transition, feelings change.

Milo is a man with many secrets and so much pain. My heart truly ached for him on so many levels. He’ll do whatever it takes to get his children back… and that situation had me wanting to slap a few people! So they come up with a plan that on the surface seems simple. As is always the case though, there’s so many layers to this arrangement that reveal secrets that shocked me. I found myself with tears in my eyes a few times thanks to the beautiful writing by Ms. Jackson. When you add the marvelous narration by Connor Crais and Samantha Brentmoor, this book was everything I love about when I read.

This story has several layers and as we move through it, hearts are touched, feelings are explored, love is given… but will it last? Some of the secrets that we learn about could derail everything Milo and Tessa are moving towards. And when you add in his beautiful little girl and boy the stakes are so much higher.

What it all comes down to is that this book is a breathtaking story of love and redemption and when you find the other half of your soul, you’ll do just about everything to get your happily ever after!

AL Jackson books are always an auto-buy for me. Love all her books and this one did not disappoint. Milo’s such a broken hero but trying to rebuild his life to get his children back after a tragedy. Tessa is great, love how she never gave up on Milo. Love how they finally gave in and accepted how they feel for each other specially Milo since he was holding it in and not wanting to bring his demons to Tessa life. The steam was so good. Slow burn for me but dang it was worth it!🔥🔥🔥
Connor and Samantha made this two characters bring to life in a new level. love them both
