About this listen

Tex gave everything he had to his country and his SEAL teammates. When an IED took away part of his leg, and his career, he devoted himself to his country and friends from behind his computer. He's always been the man that can find anyone, that uses his computer skills, legal and illegal, to keep people safe and to put the bad guys behind bars.

But behind a computer is a lonely place to be. While he might put on a good front, Tex can't help but feel he's missing out when he sees how happy his friends are. But when the woman he's been talking to online for the last six months suddenly disappears without a word, Tex knows it's time to step up and use his skills for himself this time.

Protecting Melody is the seventh book in the SEAL of Protection series. It can be heard as a standalone, but it's recommended you hear the books in order to get maximum enjoyment out of the series.

The story isn’t good or bad - it just is. More like a hallmark mystery movie. Disappointing, even I figured out who the stalker was - and the prologue of this story was completely maddening.

Not up to Ms Harber standards

this was a riveting story. Tex and Mel kept me on the edge of my seat. Finding Mel's stalker and getting a second look at the team was great. This was another great book.

Tex and Mel are a great couple

I've waited for Tex story. He has always been one of my favorite characters. His story and the head on realistic look at Military men and their struggle was refreshing.

Possibly the best of the series

It is so good that Tex has finally gotten his HEA. Melody is a kind, generous woman who loves deeply. She is honest and up front when asked how she is doing and doesn't even try to be stoic. I loved how she reacted to her friend when a disparaging remark was made about Tex's leg.

I did have a hard time listening to the climax. The negative bullying and just plain crap, it was just to much for me. Of course the stalker wouldn't be polite but well, that's on me.

With this story, all the main characters of the SEAL team are paired off and a handful married. I'm said to let them all pretty much go. There are a couple other stories so we'll see.

Stella Bloom did an outstanding job here as narrator through the series, I could see a marked improvement over all.
