This book was frustrating

The female narrator was awesome! The male narrator that started in Aran's books was terrible. I really enjoyed Sadie's books. Aran was a mess but likable in those books. I loved their friendship. I had a hard time getting through her books. She has been through a lot but at some point she needs to put on her big girl panties. She's constantly harming herself and a damn drug addict. I really didn't think I had triggers but I really don't want to spend my time listening to multiple books with her puffing away on her pipe. I got through it because I told myself it was just pot not something worse. I also don't get her being with the twins and refusing to forgive her mates. I will wait for the last book to come out instead of reading it on kindle. I think I need a break from what I just listened to. I will finish it because I'm hoping she changes her ways in the last book

Great Book, but the Male Narrators is Iffy

I really loved the narration for the first book, but this male narrator…. He reads at the same exact cadence and ends on the same descending note for the end of every sentence. There’s no emotion or vocal expression beyond some of the difference voices he uses (Ex. “You enslaved my daughter!”. You’d think he’d sound mad and not just flat and emotionless.)

I am only two hours in and am hoping to get to the female narrator already because listening to this guy is going to put me to sleep. Hopefully he gets a bit better as the book goes on. I do not know if I’ll be able to listen to the 3rd book at this rate, might end up just switching to Kindle for that one.

The voices, the snark, the feminine rage *chef’s kiss*

I adore this series, and Aran’s story most of all. There are some one liners in this that cracked me up to no end. The voice for Scorpius/Malum/Orion did things to me I will NOT be sharing with my partner. This is definitely an audiobook I’m going to come back to again and again!!

Great storyline

I liked how different this series is from others. The plot is so interesting and pulls you in. Also I don’t care how crazy the devils are…I loved their characters.

Frustrating and tiresome. Disappointing after the previous books.

I was highly anticipating this book after the previous books in the series, but it’s almost as though the author didn’t know what to do so she just tossed in anything she could think of to see what would work.. Aran is frustrating, a drug addict and obtuse. The kings are narcissistic and childish ( bursting into flames every 30 seconds). I don’t get the enhanced storyline with John, or why Aran keeps rejecting her fated mates ( although, I do understand it on the basis that they have been written as absolutely awful) - I have reader whiplash as the author is trying to decide what to do.
That being said, I still want to know what happens in the next book, and hopefully the author has managed to collect her thoughts and has decided which direction to go in. The other books in this series were really good and kept me reading and on the edge of my seat. This one was repetitious and almost annoying and I kept hoping that I would see a glimmer of the quality of the previous books in this series.
I still gave it a 3 star rating on the basis of the previous books in the series. And to give the author her due, she has created an incredible storyscape that makes you want more.
Maeve York’s narration was very good and I thought Tor Thom did well for all the different characters he had to provide voice to.

Absolutely!!!

Listen!!!! This is soooo worth the purchase! The performances are amazing!! And the story lines are just as amazing! This was well worth the listen and purchase! Be warned that most of the plot twist and betrayal is unexpected

Entertaining, brutal and funny.

Lots of secrets revealed more to find out. I love Aran's friends. I highly enjoyed this story. The story is enjoyable and attention keeping. If you enjoy reverse harems read this series. Though one of the things I can't understand is; what is up with sex knives!!?????

Narrator

I don’t care for the male narrator. He pauses at weird moments and just not into his voice. I wish they wouldn’t change narrators at the end of the series because I’m use to the women narrator. Other then that this series is amazing

Oh My Darkness

This book was so good. Now I understand why the first book was about Orion this and Orion that. The writer was setting us up for the drop! Every time they mentioned our Revered, Ignus, or Protector I rolled my eyes but now I see why it was mentioned so much. The Devil Kings were only all about themselves and couldn't see what was right in front of them. Bravo! 5 stars!
