About this listen
It's 2027. The AI revolution has merged with quantum computing to take control of global financial markets. Operated by the mysterious Bank for International Settlements based in Basel, Switzerland, the quantum supercomputer known as ICARUS has promised the world a more stable economy, devoid of bank failures and volatile share prices. And it has delivered . . . until now.
Rory O'Connor is the financial genius who helped create ICARUS, but after the tragic death of his best friend, he's checked out of high finance and into a luxury Caribbean condo, trading cryptocurrencies on the shores of San Juan.
When the stock market starts manifesting erratic behavior, what begins as a favor drags Rory into a dangerous labyrinth of deceit and international intrigue. Leaders at some of the world's most powerful central banks are planning to take down the US dollar as global reserve currency, replacing it with a gold- and silver-backed digital currency of their own.
Now, Rory must travel to Switzerland, overcome his demons, and save the world from financial chaos. Everything is on the line. If he fails, humanity descends into an economic Armageddon controlled by madmen and psychopathic bankers.

At CERN, he analyses data generated by the Large Hadron Collider, the world's biggest and most powerful particle accelerator. Now, Ty believes he's found a pattern in its output. Terraform hones the predictive capacity of science fiction and seeks new, vivid, and visceral ways to depict the future we’re hurtling toward, translating the decay and anxiety that surround us into something else, something unexpected, something that burns like a beacon and upends the conventional ideas of where we’ll end up next. Section by section—Watch/Worlds/Burn—the book takes on surveillance, artificial intelligence, and climate collapse. With a potent roster of established names and rising talents, it confronts the issues that orbit our everyday existence.

Story
Three decades ago, a colossal Empire unleashed its wrath upon a single world—Earth. Their intent was complete annihilation. However, when the dust cleared, the people of Earth were instead scattered to the stars, their home now a frozen waste at the center of a fortress system that none dared approach. Now, Earth's survivors are spread far and wide. Most lost to the stars, but some remained close to their enemy, waiting for a chance to finish the war on their own terms. For the Empire, the sins of the past are converging. The seeds are sown... and Harvest is coming.

Fantastic Read! A sleeper hit in the making.
A narrative that is not only engaging and highly plausible but very well written. The book has dimensions and provides levels of insight into a highly complex field that hook the reader regardless of market exposure and knowledge. A fun read! Bravo, Mel!

Best finance-related thriller I’ve ever read!
Great story, on point for a lot of what is going on in the world today. If into finance, monetary issues, crypto, etc., then this is for you. Fast-paced and page-turning. The plot is strong and intriguing, and the narrator does a good job handling a full array of characters from all over the world.
