About this listen

All Dr. Sloan Copeland needed was someone to watch her kids. What she found was the man of her dreams....

After a nasty divorce and a thousand-mile move, Dr. Sloan Copeland and her twin daughters are finally getting the hang of their new life in Los Angeles. When their live-in nanny bails with no warning, Sloan is left scrambling to find a competent caretaker to wrangle her smart, sensitive girls. Nothing less will do.

Enter Rafe Whitcomb. He's all of those things, not to mention good-natured and one heck of a whiz in the kitchen. He's also tall, and handsome, and bearded, and ripped, and tatted, wrist to neck.

It doesn't take long for the Copelands to invite Rafe into their home. Just as quickly, both Sloan and Rafe find themselves succumbing to a heady mutual attraction, neither of them wants to deny. With every minute they spend under the same roof, this working mom can't help but wonder if Rafe can handle all her needs....

I’m not sure what I disconnected about this book. While I appreciated the low angst, I think the little angst gave this book a disservice. I liked the whole angle of them being adults and having the proper communication but everything was just too perfect for me. The twins were adorable but Aiden was a better ginger hero for me. I still enjoyed this book as I read it on audio and audiobooks are my preference.

Liked but my my fave by this author

I liked the interaction between Rafe and the twins. Narrator did a lousy male voice.

The narrator was good but this story really deserves dual or duet narration. I read as I listened and kept wanting hear a real male voice.

Cute story

The story is a cozy romance with a smutty good time, just learned Rafe is a cinnamon roll. The narrator’s versatility with the female characters was good but her male impression wasn’t hitting the mark. Fun read!

Male Voice was Needed

LOVE LOVE LOVE RAFE

I do understand that while authors may not want to pay extra to have male and female narrators, then they should make it a point to get a female narrator that can do both well. Poor Rafe was portrayed as a robot! Horrible! I couldn’t even think of him as being a sexy hunk because of that horrible voice.

I reaf this bok after I read part 2 and I must admit that the narrator Lacy Laurel should have been used for Book as well.
