Publisher's summary

Tara: I was supposed to be in charge. That was always my intention. Until that slick corporate raider, Ethan Bradford, clicked his fancy pen and poof! Just like that, I was under him, instead of on top. Rich and powerful men - especially arrogant, handsome ones - are all the same. I know exactly how to handle him, but when my father pulls rank and orders me to play nice, my plans of putting him in his place vanish. I know his type. I've been around men like him my entire life, but one chance meeting with him and his son, makes me question everything I thought I knew.

Ethan: When it comes to business, I always come out on top. Not even being a single dad can slow me down. I never let a good investment get away, and that includes Taylor Toys. After all, business is business, right? How was I supposed to know a friendly meeting would set me on fire? Tara Taylor is a spoiled princess, used to getting everything she wants. Sure, her good looks and smart mouth turn me on like nothing else. Despite her hostile stares, she triggered feelings I thought were long dead. She dares to judge me while she stands there in her designer shoes, looking more beautiful than any marketing exec I've ever met. Instead of being grateful that I saved her family's legacy, she blames me for their failure.

Contains mature themes.

Cute, in a Hallmark movie kind of way.

If you think of it as a Hallmark-movie kind of story, you'll probably like it a lot. Arrogant man and sassy woman who don't want to like each other (but are very mutually attracted), rambunctious cute kid, quirky family, and inconsiderate exes trying to keep the protagonists apart. It's a very cute, cotton candy-ish kind of story. Plus sex.

Troy Duran is awesome as always. Ms. Ramsey is good, but strangely better with the supporting cast than with the female protagonist, Her slight lisp was distracting at first, but I got over it; as I said, she was great with the supporting cast and put a lot of feeling into the work.

Give it a shot, if you like Hallmark/Netflix kind of predictable rom-com movie plots and hot sex scenes.

I loved it

I love Troy's voice, Dorothy is a new one for me and when she is speaking as the women its great but as the guy not so great. Otherwise the storyline is pretty good I enjoy the humor

Good Story

I enjoyed the story which was well written.
However, the female narrator was not good. Troy Duran is always great.

Sooooo goood!

I honestly thought this story was going to be too long or plagued with redundancies. NOPE! It was so good and the length was perfect. I loved the characters and how they grew. Tara and Ethan’s love was so awesome. I’m grateful their attraction didn’t drag out as most enemies to lovers stories go. Definitely looking forward to Colton n Vicki’s story. I know it’s coming!

female narrator

Excellent storyline And narration by the male but the female narrator leaves a lot to desire she does not and cannot sound like a young black female, her voice was like the nails on a chalkboard

Loved It!

Ethan, Tara, the twins, Vincent! I enjoyed the banter and sarcasm. Tara’s confident knows who she is. She’s no damsel in distress and I enjoyed her. Dorothy isn’t as bad as the comments made her out to be. I thought she did well as Tara. Nice balance between romance and passion. I’m really enjoying Evelyn’s writing style. 5/5

Loved the story line!

I read the reviews and have to agree on the female narrator, her voice was not a good fit for this character, and that is why I gave it a 4. But you can deal with it and still enjoy the book. So many of these audio books have bad narrators, may be they have no choice?
