Publisher's summary

Hell hath no fury like Callie Penrose....

Ever since Callie - the Vatican's rookie monster hunter - killed a demon a few weeks ago, Kansas City's been eerily quiet. But she soon learns it's just the calm before the storm.

Because werewolves begin abducting young women in Kansas City, and a new church opens its doors, pronouncing death to all idols, including these "make-believe" monsters and wizards.

But when one of their congregation is disemboweled by a monster on the steps of the church with the phrase God is dead painted in blood, someone in the church decides to take a lesson from the Salem Witch Trials.... And the police seem to be helping.

Callie must catch the killer before Kansas City erupts in civil war. A civil war she inadvertently started. Before everyone decides to kill each other. Or worse yet, her.

But she's being stalked. By something unseen. More than one something... And with so many new faces coming to Missouri - gods, legends, and nightmares - Callie begins to realize it's all someone's sick idea of a game. And that Hell never really left Kansas City. Or Callie Penrose.

After all, they say Missouri loves company....

Great book! Only one thing missing.

Book 2 was just as good as book 1, Just one thing missing Nate. I really liked Nate in the first book.

Narrator was perfect.😊

Excellent and Fun story; unskilled narrator

I recently got into the Nate Temple chronicles and was excited to learn more about the mysterious Callie Penrose. The story is great, definitely up to par with the Nate storyline. But Linnea Sage needs to learn better inflections and when and where to moderate her tones; also a lot of points could have done with an edit, she occasionally misspeaks or mispronounced things and it was just left in and not corrected, I understand this is a smaller independent recording production but that sort of thing tends to throw a listener out of the story which sucks.

Amazing Plot Twists and Character Development

Current events, modern tech, magic, angels, mythology, and Nate Temple all tied in to boot!? This is an amazing support short series for the Templeverse series. Kali is one hell of a woman on a mission to do what’s right. Although you can tell that the author isn’t shy to emphasize the beauty of a female character (quite frequently) it’s really centered around self improvement and self betterment from a woman’s perspective. Well done.

Graphic detail. I could really visualize the action. If you like fantasy it's worth it.

Awesome story!

Honestly I picked up this series because my audible credits were maxed. After listening to the first 2 books I absolutely fell in love with the story! Now I'm torn between continuing the series or picking up the Temple chronicles first so I can catch up to what is completely happening. It looks like I need to get up to book 5 of the Temple chronicles to be in line with what I'm listening too in the Feather and fire series. Again great story! You have a new follower now!:)
