About this listen

Do you have a talented child that everyone says is made for television but you’ve hit a brick wall in helping them break into show business? Well this audiobook will outline everything you need to know and do to successfully navigate the entertainment industry. No matter where you live, there are steps you can take to get your child’s professional acting career started today!

There are many people out there who claim they can help guide you through this journey but the reality of it is that no one can understand what it means to be the SPCA (Supportive Parent of A Child Actor) unless they’ve been one. Every parent’s journey will be different but all SPCAs can resonate with each other’s stories. Can you imagine getting a call from a Hollywood producer your child is working for and they tell you to watch your child closely because “they (industry professionals) will f--k him”, you begin to understand quickly that this industry journey is one you don’t want to take alone.

I have experience in casting and producing but more recently, I’ve joined the team of talent agency in Los Angeles where I’ve been working in the Youth Department. For over seven years I have managed my son who is a series regular on a television series so I’ve shared my experiences and what I learned all in this audiobook. Raising a Child Star is jammed pack with useful information, tip, tools, and resources that will answer questions like “how do i get my child started” and “how do i find a talent agent for my child”?

After listening to this audiobook, you will know exactly what action steps you need to take to get your child’s career started, you will understand what is necessary for your child to become a working actor, and the best ways you can support them along the way. Thank you

I can't lie, the narrating wasn't for me. Axing instead of asking and the pronunciation of V's just made me cringe... that being said, a big fat thank you for sharing your story and for the tips and tricks. I also ordered the paper version of the book so I can reread it and look back when needed. Congrats to your family's success and here's hoping for our own!

The Right Information Can Change Your Life!!!

In the 9 years I've experienced "the industry" I haven't found anyone in the entertainment business that has as much information on how to help parents of child actors as Diana Ivelis has. She has the right information and tells the truth about the industry and about what's necessary to get your child started on becoming a working child-actor.

What I like about this book is, Diana Ivelis doesn't embellish expectations or results, but she doesn't shy away from the fact that GOD is working in all of our lives, so individual results can sometimes feel... miraculous. She mentions how important faith is throughout this process and how important spiritual growth is. She's clear that this is NOT a get-rich-quick thing, and shows you that, with your help, your child can have extraordinary results but it will take consistency and dedication to the craft on their part. And you, as their parent, will need to have a desire to gain more (of the right) information to set your child up for that long-term success they desire (and you desire for them).

Diana Ivelis makes clear that information changes situations and this information will change your situation for the better IF YOU APPLY THE INFORMATION. If you have this book, you have the RIGHT INFORMATION. If you read it and apply as you learn AND (most importantly) your child WANTS to be a working actor... your family can see extraordinary results!

There is no "cheat code" to this, there is only... the information, your willingness to learn and apply it, and your child's desire to be a "working child-actor." We've been applying what Diana Ivelis has been learning and teaching for years and our children have seen great results! (It does help that she's my wife, but still... 😂) All we did was apply the information she learned and taught us, stay consistent, trust GOD, do the work, trust GOD some more and we were blessed, rewarded for our efforts—Every Monday Night, we get to watch our son grow up on network television in people's living rooms across America. Thank You, Diana Ivelis!!
