About this listen

The angel of death locked me in one of his castle rooms, surrounded by books and delicious food. Not bad, right? Except for the loneliness, and the lust-fueled dreams that torment me every night - specifically dreams of Samael. And did I mention a psychotic ghost keeps trying to kill me? Because no one else believes me about that.

Now, I’m desperate to get out of the castle and hunt down the murderous Free Men who led to my imprisonment. Samael wants to destroy them too. We have the same goal but don't trust each other. When distrust shifts into passion, it only makes things more complicated.

Despite what we feel, we’re destined to be enemies. If we can’t rewrite our fates, we’ll lose each other forever - and one of us will end up dead.

Dying to read book 3.

I enjoyed learning more of Lila and Samael, and their backstory. I am crushed they have to give it up!!! I hope that changes in the next book!

My Heart Has Raptured

I feel in love with Samuel and Lyla's love story in book one. And Im more in love with them in book two. I hate the fact that when they realize how much they are in love with each other, right before their wedding, they hit another brick wall. Im heartbroken 💔.

When they finally make love for the first time within the two books, I do wish the author had slowed that scene down and made the act as intimate as the scene itself. DETAILS...scents, touches, emotions...that scene deserved it because of the build up to that moment. 💞

All and all, it was a great story and I have already pre-ordered book 3 in this series. I'm just hoping that Samuel and Lyla are reunited and finally get their happy ending together.

What the?!?

I absolutely love Lila! She literally makes me laugh out loud. This book has been my favorite so far of the two released. I enjoyed getting to see her and Samael grow closer and finally let their guard down. But they left me with such an emotional hangover. After all that Lila goes through...where this book leaves you made me yell NOOOO when it ended. But I love all these characters so much I know I’ll be counting down the days for book 3. The narrators are fantastic and do an amazing job of bringing the book to life. I absolutely love this series!

Angels, Demons, and Mortals

And here is where we start to dive into more of a backstory. I still feel more detail would have made it better, but I enjoyed this one more than book 1.
Something blooms between Lila and Samael, and we get to see the beginning of a forbidden love.
Demons, angels, and secrets are the hoarders of Rapture, and I'm excited to see how it all comes together and exactly how the MCs deal with the situation they are in.

really enjoying the narration.

Keeps You on Your Toes

I'm usually pretty good about picking apart a plot and figuring out the twist before it's revealed, but this one keeps me wondering what's gonna happen next.

part 2

these books all should be just one. Ended abruptly without tieing up story threads.
