About this listen

Born into wealth and privilege, free-spirited Liv Prescott left it all behind when she realized there was more to life than living off of trust funds and barely skating by. Since then, she's worked and fought for everything she's earned and never looked back at the world or the family she left behind.

Jackson Reid is starting over with a new job in a brand new city. A single father to his son Noah, he hopes the change will help strengthen the bond that has seemed to suffer since puberty reared its ugly head. What he hadn't planned on was Liv - his exotic next-door neighbor who drives him insane with her wild, new age lifestyle, but still manages to leave him aching for more.

As challenges arise and feelings intensify, will these neighbors be able to look past their differences and find a middle ground? When love comes knocking, will they be ready, or not?

4 Stars for me!

My rating range throughout the story... 3.75 - 4.25 Stars

Main Character Ratings... H = 7 - h = 7

Scenes with heat.. Several after the 50% mark!

Heat Rating... 7/10
Clean - 1 or 2
Descriptive Sex - 5 or above
Beyond Descriptive Sex - 8 or above

The back story... The H moves from Boston live in is Grandmother's house after she passes away to work for a law firm and make a better life for his son. The h lives next door and clashes ensue.

The Romance... Medium burn

The drama explosion... There are a couple of minor explosions. The first is unkind words from a family member has one MC questioning the relationship and the second is a person from the past causes a major scare.

Final Notes... As much as I did not like the previous story, I was pleasantly surprised to like this story. The author seems to live for extreme angst which I skip over when it starts to drive me crazy but the overall story is very good!

This story was beautiful. The female read in a clipped voice that made me feel like the character from her view was a bit snotty and that I was playing it at time and a half but the man… oh the man could’ve told the whole story and it would’ve been perfection in my eyes.
It didn’t end with the stereotypical pregnancy, which I loved. I felt like the story was more genuine for it. I didn’t care for the last book I read from this author but I’m a believer in giving an author a couple chances before moving on. This book is exactly the reason I do that.
The story is sweet and genuine and really explores the individualities of each character instead of just being like “oh, they’re hot. They’re mine now. I’m keeping them. I’m putting a baby in them as proof”, like most stories do.
This one also had a bit of originality to it compared to other stories, which I’m not super surprised about because the author’s last story I read was like that as well.

It’s not often I give a book all stars, but there it is.

I enjoyed the story line very much but when it was Liv narrating there seemed to be some kind of reverb on her voice which made it very hard to listen too. Everything else was wonderful.

Great Story

This series just keeps getting better. This is a beautifully charming, cute, and sweet journey to go on with Liv and Jackson. I enjoyed every moment of this book.
Narration was perfection!

I liked the storyline immensely, not your typical love story. It was real lifelike- emotional, humorous- I found myself laughing out loud.
The narrators were superb- I loved Craig Jessen’s accent and tone of voice. Thank you for sharing this amazing story, it sounds reminded me of my own life story.

Love in every way

I absolutely loved this story! I loved the characters and story plot. the narration was horrible wasn't sure I would be able to finish, I did and am glad I did because the story was great but probably should have read it rather than listen

I know… You’re saying oh no just another hopeless romantic given this book 5 stars. Well that might be a bit true, this book stood out because the mail narrator was so good and so smooth and the story was so very well written and I love the female narrator as well. A joy from beginning to end.

this was my first experience with this author. she is awesome. about to start another series by her. the male narrator was dreamy. the female was inconsistent. sometimes she was fine, other times forced and robotic.

Loved this series! Felt all them feels!

Such a sweet romance. I wasn’t enamored by either narrator, but I liked the storyline so I continued. The hero was perfection and just what I needed to hear when he made all the right choices that we wish for IRL. The heroine was not weak or indecisive, troubled by her past for sure, but strong and moves forward.

Quintessential romance
