About this listen

Real estate agent Chloe Roberts returns to her hometown after her fiancé disappears without a trace. Starting over, she finds a house she wants to buy for her own, but there's a dead man inside. She uncovers shady family secrets and is pursued by a crazed female stalker, an ex-lover; a billionaire developer; a lovable lawman, and a presumed dead, reformed gangster. Her wealthy client, her mother and grandfather are prime suspects, putting a crimp in Chloe's budding relationship with sexy Deputy Leo Sanders. Pushing her aside to work the case, he may lose her to another. Chloe becomes the assassin’s next target.

I thought that Book 9 of "The Bloodline Series" was entertaining. Chloe Roberts moved back to her hometown. While looking for a place to call her own, Chloe stumbled upon the body of a dead man. She became embroiled into a murder case as she had to prove her innocence to the local police. The story was fast paced. The characters were personable. There was some steamy content. Miranda Cameron's narration was fine, but there were several times when she repeated a sentence or a fragment of one. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.
