I loved how Tess built little stories centered around a recipe, and then gave us the recipe at the end of the chapter

As someone who loves to entertain, I could SOOOO indentify with Tess. Her feeling of success with a meal done right and her frustration when things don't go as planned. Would love to read a similar book, it was a great blend of humor and memoir with lots of great entertaining tips mixed in!
