About this listen

In these end-times, compulsions, obsessions and addictions are at epidemic levels. Satan uses compulsions, obsessions and addictions to force his slaves to build up his kingdom. Satan also uses compulsions, obsessions and addictions to prevent Christians from living the abundant life. As compulsion, obsession or addiction becomes too painful, people reach out for help. So Satan formulated a recovery program that revolves around a couple of biblical principles that, when misapplied, do not harm his kingdom.

Unsurprisingly, this "Biblical" program pushes people away from the Father's table. In contrast, Recovery In Christ invites people to the Father's table where they can dine with Yeshua's Spirit and feast on His Word to overcome compulsions, obsessions and addictions as a part of the One New Man, and live the abundant life.

Great Old Testament Study

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Not so great as a recovery resource. It does a pretty good job of denouncing the current standard of 12 step recovery, but doesn't really replace it.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

So much old testament history/study. Interesting but not what I was looking for in this purchase

Have you listened to any of Stephen Bowlby’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No

Do you think Recovery In Christ needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No - unless he writes one which actually address recovery from addiction. He obviously knows how to study and put together a coherent thesis paper, so I think he would write a brilliant book on actual recovery if he focused on the intent of the book.

More then an addiction book.

It's an eye opening book. Very in depth . Great perspective . More then what I was expecting.

False title

There was nothing about recovery. Just all the mistakes Jewish people made in the Old Testament.
