About this listen

An idealistic heroine. A reformed villain. A troubled teen.

Can the Supervillain Rehabilitation Project form a family out of this mess?

Still working out her team's dynamic as well as her own fledgling romance with former villain Fade, Prism is blindsided when her superiors order her to take on another rehabilitation subject or risk having her team broken apart. Then her best friend and fellow superhero, Tanvi, foils a robbery but injures a super-powered teen in the process.

Guilt stricken, she begs Prism to let the young girl, Alma, AKA Soulbird, be their next project. Alma fills a gap in the team and works her way into the group's hearts. However, her past stalks her, as the villain who forced her into a life of crime in the first place doesn't want to let her escape into hero life without a fight.

Can Prism and her team redeem Alma from her past, or will the villain life drag the girl out of the SVR and out of their reach forever?

loved it

Loved the story and the relationships between the characters and the ending left me excited to continue the series. The only thing I didn't enjoy about the performance was that Fade's voice didn't sound right to me, otherwise I enjoyed all the different voices to help distinguish the characters from each other.

A sequel that lives up to the first.

So this is the second book in the Supervillain Rehabilitation Project series. You could probably start here and be okay but reading this book first will spoil the big twist in book one as well as deprive you of a huge emotional event, the fallout of which the characters are still processing in this book. so do yourself a favor and read book one, Reformed, first.

This book introduces a new character, Alma. A snarky teenager with flying powers and a knack for burglary. I am loved getting to know this new character and I found her motivation believable and understandable.

There is also major set up for the next book so just be warned you will be begging for more.

Rena Gail resumes her narration, and one again blew me away with her performance abilities. she really does make this sound like a full cast audio drama. I highly recommend any book narrated by Rena as she is a joy to listen to.
