Do I recommend? Yes to the story. Maybe to the audiobook

Tropes: Contemporary Romance, rockstar

Short and sweet, Restless tells the origin story to the upcoming series about the rock band, Less Than Zero. The focus is on Carter Pope and his love of a lifetime, Lianne. Carter is the father of Zane, lead guitarist for LTZ Carter is lead singer of the band, Limelight. Rockstar life almost destroyed him. Will it destroy his love life too or the relationship with his son?

This story wasn't nearly long enough but what story takes place was entertaining. It sets up the first book in the series. I'm really looking forward to that one. I listened to this audiobook but I can't say I enjoyed the narration. It just didn't feel natural. I liked Lynn Barrington's voice but not really Reginald James. Maybe if the book were longer, that might have changed but I was able to listen to it in an hour. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

This was an interesting look at Zane's parents; how the got together, what drove them apart and how they became friends again. It has cheating (while he was high) and doesn't really have an HEA or even HFN... I'm really hoping that this is because we get an Encore for them or we at least get to see them work it out within the rest of the bands stories.

The audio was well done! I loved listening to Reginald James and Lynn Barrington tell this story.
