This is a story that truly needed to be told. We live in a world that sends mixed messages of what is right and wrong, and it's getting worse! What a beautiful example of how much Jesus loves us, no matter what. It also shows the miracles and healings that can happen when we surrender to Him.

Kim's book is profound on so many levels. What stood out to me the most was her brutal honesty and transparency, but above all else, her sharing how our love for Jesus Christ will empower us to overcome every sin and stronghold that dominates our lives as Believers. The greatest take home for me in this book is that God loves us so much and longs to have an intimate, personal relationship with us. He is better than any thing else we can choose. Once we understand that He is the proverbial cherry on top of our life, we will release everything else in devotion to Him.

Easy to listen, revealing God's heart. The author shares her story, struggles with same-sex attraction, and how God restoring love met her in her realities. It must be relevant for those who struggle the same, but in a sense, worth listening to everyone - to hear God's works and victories can lift every heart. I put this book down halfway through because it made me so mad but I was encouraged to finish. I’m so glad I did. This is a testimony we all need to hear, if not for ourselves then for those we may encounter. It is so obviously God written.

Homosexuality is a politically charged subject, a hot potato. When someone is heard speaking or writing on the issue, often it's from a place of ignorance and meanness, or the opposite extreme of moral permissiveness. Neither of these messages is helpful to the people whose lives have been touched by same sex attraction -- people who live with it, year after year, struggling alone and in isolation. People for whom Jesus Christ died. People who, in spite of their powerful and often confusing feelings regarding members of their own sex, can be used by God to touch the lives of others, and further his kingdom. People who need not live in darkness and despair, but are called to be so much more. Kim does not sugarcoat her past, and powerfully demonstrates the destructive consequences of many of her choices. Kim is a portrait of a woman drowning in her own desires while desiring also to do good, to live for God, and serve others. I stand in awe of all she has done for her Lord and fellow humans. She's a blessing. Thanks for sharing such a personal part of your life with us, Kim!
