About this listen

He never misses a target

Jake "the Snake" Sommers earned his SEAL code name by striking quickly and quietly - and with lethal force. That's also how he broke Michelle Carter's heart. It was the only way to keep her safe - from himself. Four long years later, Jake is determined to get a second chance. But to steal back into Michelle's loving arms, Jake is going to have to prove he can take things slow. Real slow.

She aims to make him beg

Michelle Carter has never forgiven Jake for being so cliché as to love her and leave her. But when her brother, head of the Black Knights elite ops agency, ticks off the wrong mobster, she must do the unimaginable: place her life in Jake's hands. No matter what they call him, this man is far from cold-blooded. And once he's wrapped around her heat, he'll never let her go.

Great continuation of the story and a stand-alone.

Great story line. Good continuation of the characters from the previous two books. Abby Craden does a good job of continuing to read the story well. However, she falls short in remembering how Angel sounds from the last book to this one. He manages to looses his accent. At least the Cajun accent is the same but poorly done. At least the author keeps the storyline straight.

My fave yet!

Like the previous books, the narrator's male voices bothered me, but it's a "used to it by now" kinda thing, and it doesn't ruin the story for me. I do like her character voices, tho.

This book is totally my fave of the series! I LOVED it. Jake is freaking awesome, Shell is sweet and lovely, and little Franklin is so cute. I'm a sucker for a secret baby, but I really liked Shell and Franklin from the previous books. I really liked seeing the other characters, too.

Can't wait to start the next one!

Awful narration

Wow … I like the Black Knight series. Easy fun reading. I saw it in Audible and gave it a try…. She butchers it. Terrible fake voices, HORRIFIC pace and inflection. Get the card copy
