About this listen

Attempting 300 kph on an untested experimental motorcycle could be considered a perfect way to kill yourself, but Paul Carter is still, well, Paul Carter and "danger at high speed" is his second name.

Whether discovering that being dyslexic means delivering your lines to camera back to front in the midst of filming a TV series, or starting a new business and travelling the world, or dealing with life's more sober moments like the birth of a son or the loss of a father, Paul Carter is still the funniest man in the bar and the nicest alpha male you'll ever meet as he risks all for the sake of a good story.

So strap yourself in and brace yourself for his fourth book - we all remain hopeful that he will not be institutionalised before completing his fifth.

'Great two-fisted writing from the far side of hell.' (on Don’t Tell Mum I Work on the Rigs) (John Birmingham, author of He Died with a Felafel in His Hand)
'A unique look at a gritty game. Relentlessly funny and obsessively readable.' (on Don’t Tell Mum I Work on the Rigs) (Phillip Noyce)

Natural born story teller. Funny and familiar. So raw and honest. Draws you in and if you've ever had any experience similar, it is immediately conjured and experienced all over again.

More titles please!

Paul Carter is a great story teller and i enjoyed listening to all his titles. This one is not just about crazy motorcycle adventures, it also touches on his challenges of being a dad, husband and son. There is the unmistakable humour and great visual descriptions that make you feel you are there with him, in the moment. I've learned a valuable lesson about child discipline, especially of the "crazy kid" in the family.

Another great adventure by Paul Carter
