About this listen

Who tries to ride deep into Iraq just to see if the news reports are accurate, ends up joining a street demonstration against someone else's government, or sticks their arm between the jaws of a wild mountain wolf-dog?

After the success of his first book, In Search of Greener Grass, Graham Field hits the road again with his bargain-basement KLR650, recording his experiences in his inimitable and revealingly honest diary style. The Caucasus region is often overlooked by travelers, but Graham may inadvertently be about to change all that.

A single pivotal event can transform any journey, and accepting rather than fighting that moment can have glorious consequences for the traveler. In this instant the result ensures a fantastic exploration of eastern Europe and beyond, the discovery of a hidden gem in Georgia, and meanderings that leave us all much richer.

Ultimately, Eureka is an almost accidental realization that we cannot control our mood on the road, but merely embracing it can be the most enlightening travel experience of all.

I really enjoyed the story since I am an avid long distance adventure rider. However, being American, I had to determine through context what some of the slang words used in the book actually meant. His description of the scenery, road conditions, people he encountered, etc... gave me a good visual of what he witnessed. I didn’t care for the fowl language used unnecessarily.

Enjoyable for adventure motorcycle riders.

Graham is the definition of adventure, and my wife and I loved every minute of this book. We both ride motorcycles, but you don’t have to ride to appreciate his books. Just buy it, sit back, and enjoy the hell out of it!

Loved It!!

Another hit Graham. Always love to hear the fulls story, not just the fit-for-public-consumption highlights. Love it Graham!. Well done!

Entertaining honest and captivating

The author's simple honesty combined with his sense of humor makes for a great story about a real person seeking to live outside the box.

An excellent life travel story

even though he's hard on GS owners rocking touratech...haha. I enjoy that he is real, I agree with a lot of his perspective and disagree with some. Overall, it's inspiring.

I really enjoy the writer.........................

Loved it. Kept watching chapter count wishing the book would grow more so I could listen longer. Kept waiting for a left turn and the journey continuing.

The sprinkling of puns was quite a treat.

slow start but worth sticking around for the rest

Graham's first audio book was a complete joy and I felt his laughter, his humor, pain and frustration. After finishing that audio book I thought "Now here's a bloke I could see having a laugh with". He's a long hair like me, likes metal and drinks tea. tops in my book. I just finished his second audio book "Ureka" and my thought was reaffirmed. Thanks Graham for taking me on that journey with you, it was a good laugh. One side note. Despite its vague reliability, the KLR is the most wretched motorcycle ever created. I could never own anything that ugly.

Graham satisfy again
