Riley

Tough guy meets a woman in danger. Lovely romance. Mystery that needs to be solved.

A four star Cozy....

This gets a 4 star for being a cozy book. Of coarse it is not literature! But it is a great book if you need something to curl up with, or wash dishes to, or take a walk with or run errands or multi-task, or just get your mind off other things. I like positive elements of self defense... etc.

Disappointed

Did not sound like Lori Foster. I was disappointed with the story and the narrator.

Bubble gum

The cover of this book would lead you to believe that this is hot and sexy novel when, in actuality, it's not so much. I'm used to "Lori Foster" books having a little more "umph" to them, and this book almost seemed like cotton candy fluff by comparison. The lead female character was so coy and easily embarrassed that you wondered what it was about her that so appealed to the male lead. As a whole, the book reminded me more of the candy-coated Harlequin Romances of the 80's. But I happen to be a sucker for gooey romance mixed with humor and a happy ending, so I still gave it three stars.

The narrator, however, is a different story. Don't these people have to audition for someone before they are chosen for these types of books? This person seemed better suited to narrate children's books than adult contemporary romance. Her cheesy portrayal of the male characters came close to making me quit listening altogether. If good narration makes the book for you, I'd have to say just skip this one.

Poor Narrator

I must start listening to the previews before I purchase even my MOST favorite authors. Lori Foster is one of my all time fav's. However, this was not one of my favorites but a great beach book with steamy romance for a mindless read.

Riley

The story was great. I love just about anything by Lori Foster. The narrator was not the best. I had a hard time listening when she was saying the men parts.

Narrator was so annoying, I couldn't finish!

This was not one of Lori Foster's best romance novels. However, if there had been a decent narrator, it might have helped to redeem the storyline. Read it in hard copy. Do not waste a credit.

Did Lori Foster really write this??

This one is the only LF book I couldn’t finish. Hated the heroine who is surly, snarky, prissy and beyond annoying. What would a guy like Riley see in her? A real pain in the ass. The narrator didn’t help so I am bailing on this one
