Publisher's summary

Before her latest assignment, Morgan Andrews was certain she had the best job on the planet. She gets paid to travel the world and evaluate five-star accommodations, fine dining, and exotic locales. Life just doesn't get any better. But, it can get worse.

Suddenly her job doesn't feel so glamourous when she's assigned to map out a road trip to Idaho for budget travelers. And, she won't be going alone. She's been paired on this assignment with Mr. Gorgeous himself, Avery Dalton, of all people.

Resigned to her fate, she keeps reminding herself she just has to get through seven-to-eight days in a not so exotic locale with a man who will likely be too busy admiring himself to do his job. Then, she can go back to her more luxurious assignments. But, what if Avery isn't who or what she thought he was?

Road Trip

Morgan gets stuck on an unusual new job assignment with her hot coworker Avery. She is not sure about how this is going to work out since she's used to working alone. As the "road trip" gets underway she starts finding out her boss left a few details out of her job assignment. As soon as Morgan relaxes she starts enjoying her assignment and treating it more like a vacation. This book has some amazing scenes in it and was very well written. Marla Josephs draws you in on this adventure and makes you feel as if you are part of it. Nice job on the narration as well! It's a story that's hard to put down.

take a trip and fall in love

Enjoyed tagging along on this road trip where Morgan and Avery are paired by the boss for travel package research. Morgan is surprised, Avery is not what she expected and cannot help fall in love with him, and neither could I. He is definitely going onto my book boyfriend list, sweet and warm, his family is close-knit and nurturing. Hannah and Zoe are hilarious secondary characters. An entertaining story I recommend with 5 stars.
My first listen from Ms. Hampton, pleasant voice, even if bit nasal at times, with good pitch variations for the many characters. Enjoyed listening how well the emotions were displayed.

Road Trip - Fun and Sweet

This is a short story, easy and fun to listen. The narration is well done. I like the writing of Marla Josephs. We follow the characters, Morgan and Avery, who are collaborating to evaluate a low-budget Road Trip in Idaho. Avery is really sweet and caring. I was surprised to reach the end of the story so quickly. I would have liked the trip to continue to know a little more about the characters.

Fun Listen!

I loved both the imagery and banter this book had. The story pulled me in from the very beginning. The idea of traveling for work sounds so appealing, and would be a dream job. There was so much realistic detail in this story and the narrator did a great job!

lovely happy novella

definitely a dufferent kind of read in a way. it is fast pace but reall. it gives a feeling that this could happen to any of us. and for me who loves travell and if i could i would have dream job of travelling the world and writting reviews this is a lovely book on a romance side. it could have more of travelling info to give it more real touch about their job but i was not disapointed because of the lack of it as the love story provided the thrill i needed for the story to keep me intrgued. especially i loved the wine cellar parr which gave me hunger for wine but their natural interaction was amazing. i could.see it how if would reveal in real life. the performanc of narrator was nice but at timws i felt like he is sad all the time due to the voice given to him. but that is probablt only my perception. the overall opinion good book which will give you a sense of happy.

A good listen, sweet and fun

This was the first book I have read/listened to by Marla Josephs and Chloe Hampton as narrator did a good job.
I enjoyed listening to this story and although it is my first it will not be my last book from Marla Josephs. The narrator changed voices well and I felt relaxed listening as the story flowed well. I loved both Morgan and Avery and was intrigued by the story line of the book since I love road trips.
The chemistry between Morgan and Avery was most certainly there and I loved the relationship that Avery had with his sister and niece in particular. I found myself smiling and laughing throughout my listen and was disappointed when it ended. If you a looking for a fun, sweet and not to long a read/listen then I recommend this feel good book.

Fun! Fun! Fun!

Road trips are nothing but stressful, cheap vacations, not the style of traveling Morgan Andrews is used to reviewing for her job. When she is told she is not only taking a road trip with her colleague Avery Dalton, it will be to beautiful Idaho. What could there be to see on the way to Idaho? She and Avery will be assessing the sights and determine the possibility of an affordable vacation package. Marla Josephs takes this vacation to a whole new level With her vivid descriptions, we get to go on this trip...from rafting to wine tasting to hiking the views are incredible and the experiences are those to last a lifetime. The budding relationship between Avery and Morgan ignites into a steamy romance leaving you with that warm feeling inside. This will make you want your next vacation to be on the road and appreciate all those little things you see along the way.

This is my first listen with Chloe Hampton and she is wonderful. She has a good array of voices, easily switching genders and gives the story warmth as she reads. Her pace is easy on the ears and makes this vacation a real treat.
