The first books in the series were narrated by Judith Boyd. Changing was a mistake. The way this narrator performed the voice of Harriet was so grating that I stopped listening half the way through -I just couldn’t take it anymore.

Why change narrators?

Nice cozy mystery

Too many additions to the primary plot that ended up being superfluous rather than interesting.

Twice as long As it Should have Been

My favorite so far

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.

The action is started by the protagonist acting like an idiot with little rational motive so there’s no sympathy/empathy/ or even caring what happens to her.

The other characters can’t save the book either

Returned it early even though free

I have enjoyed the series and this book was also engaging. However, I have had a difficult time sticking with the books since Judith Boyd is no longer narrating. Although I enjoy the storyline and the characters , it is very difficult to complete the book since the narration makes it very difficult to identify the characters who are speaking. I get annoyed-but I do get to the ending. I do hope Judith Boyd comes back at some point in this series to do the narration again.

good storyline

The weaving of its story and its characters; the characters well defined by the narrator; the flow. All resulted in a very enjoyable listen! Both author and narrator are exceptional!

Very enjoyable!

This is an old fashioned village mystery with some slight character development of the main characters. The focus, though, is the mystery and who done it.

Love this series

Very poor reader. What a shame as the previous reader was magnificent and gave the characters such great personality. .
