Publisher's summary

Some men are born responsible; some men have responsibility thrust upon them. Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook, Prince of Wessco, just got the motherlode of all responsibility dumped in his regal lap. He’s not handling it well.

Hoping to help her grandson rise to the occasion, Queen Lenora agrees to give him "space" - but while the Queen's away, the Prince will play. After a chance meeting with an American television producer, Henry finally makes a decision all on his own:

Welcome to Matched: Royal Edition.

A reality TV dating game show featuring twenty of the world's most beautiful blue bloods, all gathered in the same castle. Only one will win the diamond tiara; only one will capture the handsome prince's heart. While Henry revels in the sexy, raunchy antics of the contestants as they fight for his affection, it's the quiet, bespectacled girl in the corner - with the voice of an angel and a body that would tempt a saint - who catches his eye. The more Henry gets to know Sarah Mirabelle Zinnia Von Titebottum, the more enamored he becomes of her simple beauty, her strength, her kind spirit...and her naughty sense of humor.

But Rome wasn't built in a day, and irresponsible royals aren't reformed overnight. As he endeavors to right his wrongs, words take on new meanings for the dashing Prince. Words like duty, honor, and, most of all, love.

Oh! Henry!

If you could sum up Royally Matched in three words, what would they be?

HOLY FREAKIN' COW!

What other book might you compare Royally Matched to and why?

I have no idea.

What about Shane East and Andi Arndt ’s performance did you like?

Shane East can read a book on quantum physics and I'd be enthralled. Andi Arndt flexed her diverse muscle in this one. :) I really liked her as Sara.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

LAWD YES!

Sadly Not worth the Wait for me.

Being a Huge Royally Screwed fan and a Big fan of Henry's, I couldn't wait for his story to come out. Sadly the story was not as fun and entertaining as the first book. This book just seemed to drag on and although they were mentioned, there wasn't enough Nicolas and Olivia for my liking. I'm glad I heard the story but I will be returning it. It wasn't worth the money in my opinion.

Ding!!!

The Ding nearly killed me. I broke out into uncontrollable giggles at every Ding!! Shane East followed the Ding with the ‘camera sound’ that again nearly killed me with tearful giggles. He really out did himself with Henry and his snobby put out accent. Henry is the epitome of damaged spoiled entitled arrogant and sex addled. You want to hate him for his carelessness high airs and offhanded words and utter fixation on just sex not the woman. But you can’t because he calls Olivia olive and its endearing and he idolizes his big brother. He calls the queen Grammy. He makes pop culture and comic book references in conversational off hand ways that stab the nerds heart with a direct hit. He has passion for his soldiers and their sacrifice. He figures out how to break the rules in new ways to help instead of injure. And he picks the shy awkward girl and instead of being all domineering and manly he becomes her support and confidence and she shines and glows with every beat of his loving heart. And he made me write that sentence and cry both happy and sad tears then tears of joy and envy. I don’t give a damn that Henry is a prince or beyond rich the envy is in the way he loved Sara. The way he saw her, treated her the way she literally bloomed under his attention and affection. How she became strong and brave through his love. This was delightful and wonderfully not cliched or predictable. It was all the things !!! Funny sad frustrating silly heart warming sexy gooey anger inducing ..... I am so glad I decided against my own cynical self -that said Henry’s book couldn’t be as good as Nick’s- and read this anyways. Big thumbs up for Emma Chase very well done indeed!!! Andi Arndt was wonderful as Sara and the b..chy Vanessa among others. Her Sara voice which was soft and shy was perfect. But Shane did a phenomenal job as Henry I loved this performance and can’t wait to listen to this all over again and get the giggles when the Ding sounds!! I hope you read this and enjoy it like I did.

Definitely some good parts!

I really didn’t enjoy how much of a pig he was in the beginning but I do like that she embraced the good with the bad. He definitely matured. I think the ending was a little off — I did not expect him to enlist. I think the ending was a little rushed but I get not wanting them to fall in love and expect it to last because they spent less than a month together. My favorite quote from the book was “There are meetings in books that stand out that alter the course of the story. Profound encounters between characters when one soul seems to say to another ‘there you are, I found you’” Such a beautiful thing to say.

This book was so good!

I loved the 1st. Book in this series and I was hopeful that the second book would be as good. To my surprise it was loving, funny, sweet, and sexy. Emma Chase, is a wonderful writer and I have enjoyed several of her books already. I love to listen to Shane East but I do have to say Andi Arndt was wonderful. So far I am very much loving this series. I do hope you take a chance on this series I feel you will love it.

Absolutely whimsical!

Henry never wanted to be king, but when his brother decided to abdicate the throne and marry for love Henry is thrust into the grown-up world of what it means to be the next king. He must find his way to the throne, in a dignified and Royal Manor. His journey won't be easy as he's never taken his role as a prince seriously. Henry decides to join a reality dating show, there he needs Sarah who tagged along with her sister who happens to be one of the contestants vying for the princes attention. Their Journey is filled with unsolicited banter and stark realization's of what's important in one's life. Emma Chase has once again given us the reader a truly enjoyable host of characters to love!

Enjoyable while predictable

I don't mind stories that use tropes as part of their tale. The royally series has done that for sure, but in a most enjoyable way.

I was anxious to have Henry's story as I was so angry at Nicholas at the end of the first book. It did not let me down.

Even though you knew what was going to happen as the story began to unfold, I still hung to every word.

These two narrators are some of my favorites.

How to be a King

I loved the first book and I loved this one too. Henry has been handed the throne but he isn't ready and his impulsive, stupid decisions land him on a reality tv show to find the next queen.

Only he meets quiet and nervous Sarah and she isn't even on the show. After much angsty and emotional turmoil you get to find out... are Henry and Sarah meant to lead a country together?

Henry is a hoot and Sarah is too, only in a total different way. I laughed and fell in love with these 2 characters and Emma Chase gave me a lot to contemplate. What a great story!!
