Publisher's summary

Cherish your girls. Hold the wall. Reforge the land.

Cade and his band of bodacious companions have forged a foothold in the world of Antinium, and now they must defend it. A dungeon with seven levels of increasing difficulty waits to be explored. Invaluable resources, and more importantly, the power to control the dungeon itself, stands as more than an enticing reward to lure Cade in.

The beasts of Antinium have mutated and turned from a nuisance into a full-scale threat. But most concerning of all is the evil that festers in the darkness. For the sake of Antinium's people, the rulers of Last World must prove that the light of their newly forged society is enough to withstand the night....

The Chimera King series contains explicit adult content, unconventional harem relationships, graphic and persistent violence, and a hero whose humor belongs in a military barracks. Proceed at your own risk.

Amazing

This is one of the best book series I have ever read! Great characters and an amazing story line, that really makes you connect to not only the main character Kade, but every single character, excluding the villain obviously couldn't have been done better!

Awesome introduction to the Genre

I am new to Audible and took a chance with one of my credits. I was not disappointed with the first book of the series and found myself laughing and crying with this book. I will be listening to more books in this genre and more definitely more from this author.

Epic! I Loved It! 😍

Excellent isekai story, loved the fact it was an adult character with adult content, and that the MC isnt a weak & gutless teenage loser like all the Manga/Hentai crap that comes out of Asia. The Video game dynamic to it was really cool too, as the story progressed from books 1-3, it felt like I was playing a kick ass Video Game with an imersive story. Christopher Noucher and Jessica Threet did an amazing job with narrative collaboration, although at times I think miss Threet forgot which pitch and accent she was using for each of the girls she voiced but no complaints otherwise, plus Cade is a bit too cocky for his own good sometimes, serves him right when he gets his ass kicked because he got to cocky, even though he is pretty Baddass, I will agree with one reviewer though for a person that at one time did have 4 soul weapons at his disposal he does forget about the abilities each had. the Mana sponge ability could have been very helpful a few times if he would have used it and triggered the finger of the sun on his neck as those were there straight up until the abyss fight, and possibly after as there is no mention of them after the last time he even used the finger of the sun was when he new up the town in the second book with no mention of it afterwords other that he had it and was using it in this third book having lost the shield in the second book. any enemy healing fight mana sponge interrupt + finger of the sun attack to dump the mana = win, if he'd been far enough away from allies to avoid interruption to their abilities; Mothra's Cousin/TurtleQuill God fights are prime examples, and did they get sucked up by Abyss? Buy we do need to observe an extended moment of silence for Mr. McGregor though: the epic battle axehammer/arcane machine gun with the epic array of Mana Bullets... I want one!

Chimera King- great series

Read some of the newer books buy the author and loved them. So I went back and listened to the 3 earlier books i had missed. First of all, this is kind of a whole series review. You cant really read this one by itself and enjoy it in my opinion, and I waited till book three to leave an overall review.
In the first book MC is transported to another world after trying to defend a woman being abused in the first book. That gives you the best view of the MC personality right there. he sees something wrong and wants to get involved, even if it might get him killed. throughout the series you get kind of the standard progression of character development. though it is done uniquely enough that it is a refreshing read.
By the time we get to the second book. our MC has the beginnings of a base set up, but is still outclassed by the bad guys. That one shows serious progression by the MC and team. Sorry, no spoilers but the last battle scene was really good and you wonder how can it possibly go to a book 3.
Book 3 introduces a new "bad guy". basically, and this is from the description so its not a spoiler, a "mutation" happens in the world and it threatens the newly one peace they thought they had at the end of book 2. It actually surprised me in the direction it took and was very satisfied with how the story played out at the end. Book 3 closed all the loops and i was not left with any "so what happened to..." moments.
Great overall series that left me satifisifed with the story.

Performamce: The male narrotor was above average to me. voice acting was good with no flaws that i noticed. Female narrator was superb. I loved her voice and actually kind of wish she did the main naration throughout the book with the Male actor playing the male lines. That is not a knock ont the male narrator in any way shape or form, he was perfect, she is just that good.

excellent series!

from start to finish this was a fantastic series. there was good story development throughout all 3 books. it didn't feel like any one element overtook the other, which added a nice balance. great listen, thank you!

great 3rd installment

I think I liked the second one better and this story nicely brings the story to a close but leaves it open for more. I enjoyed the characters and the rpg element. definitely recommend it.
