I did not find the premise of the story very believable and the situation was silly. Narrator did a great job.

I liked the story, but loved the narrator! I will look for more stories narrated by Karen Cass! Great characters and a good plot. I will read more novels by Christina Dodd in the future.

I think Christina Dodd is always a great read but having Karen Cass read her books makes them magical! I only pick books on audible by narrator
There are only two other narrators that even come near. She can adapt to any dialog

So rare that you find the combination of a funny and clever historical romance with a bit of a mystery too. I loved everything about this story well done!

The heroine (Hannah) flees to the country since she sees men following her. However it's actually part of her husband Dougald's plot to get her to come to him since she doesn't know he has inherited an earldom. This book flashes back and forth from past to present and the young Dougald isn't very likable but after 9 years apart they have both grown up and get a second chance. Dougald's aunts add some humor to the story with their matchmaking attempts and there is a bit of a mystery since some of the deaths of the previous Lords of Raeburn are suspicious. As usual the narrator does a great job in this book.

I have newly discovered Christina Dodd and am enjoying her books. I especially appreciate that the characters are often unique. The narrator is very good. The basic plot of Rules of Attraction is interesting. HOWEVER the two main characters are simply too foolish and stupid to be believed.

5 stars for the narrator. Karen Cass is great as always. However the story is not to my liking. This is a new author for me. I’m not impressed. The male lead threatens the heroine with violence repeatedly. He’s supposed to be a grumpy anti-hero. He’s no hero. He’s abusive. I know some people like that. I don’t. Audible refused to refund my money. I’m disappointed. This story needed a warning.
