Six teens must band together to survive after a shooting breaks out in this high-stakes thriller by New York Times best-selling author April Henry.

When a deadly shooting breaks out in a Portland shopping mall, a diverse group of teens ends up trapped behind a store's security shutter. To her own surprise, 17-year-old Miranda finds the others looking to her as their leader. But she's hiding a big secret - and she's not the only one. The group has only three choices: Run, hide, or fight back. The wrong decision will have fatal consequences.

Loved this story super simple.

Super good concept and plot very good book for teens only problem is that it switched characters often.

Wow!!

I will admit the first chapter threw me off a bit and I was going to just keep it in my library and go back at a later date. I'm glad I didn't!!
My 15yr old daughter and I listened together. Not only was it a good book I felt like it was a well thought out and executed story.
My one and only complaint was that the chapters ended and started so abruptly but other than that it rocked!! Definitely worth the credit!!

the first April Henry book I didn't love

the author tried to touch on way too many social issues in such a short book. the story is extremely face paced with short chapters. trying to address 10+ social issues and conspiracy theories took away from the story. I have been binging all of April Henry books and loved them all so far. sadly this one isn't even comparable to the others I've read. however it won't stop me from listening to other books by her.

Political Agenda Blocks Good storyline.

Story was good but couldn’t get past the nonsense. If you are going to mention real events author should get their facts correct rather than implying false ones.
