Publisher's summary

A teen is snatched outside her kung fu class and must figure out how to escape - and rescue another kidnapped victim - in this chilling YA mystery by New York Times best-selling author April Henry.

When Savannah disappears soon after arguing with her mom's boyfriend, everyone assumes she's run away. The truth is much worse. She's been kidnapped by a man in a white van who locks her in an old trailer home, far from prying eyes. And worse yet, Savannah's not alone: 10 months earlier, Jenny met the same fate and nearly died trying to escape. Now as the two girls wonder if he will hold them captive forever or kill them, they must join forces to break out - even if it means they die trying.

fun YA thriller

This was a quick entertaining YA thriller about two girls who were kidnapped several months apart. The POV changed between the girls and the kidnapper which made the book that much more interesting. This isn't a twisty novel but a very fun engaging story. If you like the whole kidnapping trope with badass females characters then definitely give this book a try! I randomly stumbled across this author recently and this was my first book by her but it definitely won't be my last!

Absolutely amazing!

The writing of the book kept me on my toes and the voices that the narrator used made it more interesting and fun to listen to!

good young adult thriller

This young adult thriller had a good story line about kidnapping, but also focused on teaching strength. Had a lot of good quotes at the beginning of each chapter & a fairly happy ending.

Loved it!

I use audible for school and it always help me because most of the time I do not have time to read the paper copy. I also love the how the women reads it and I overall enjoyed the whole thing.
