About this listen

At first, it seemed like a massive social media-based prank to cause panic on the streets. Now, fake news has become real news. The dead are rising and attacking the living. They're spreading like a plague infecting every village, town and city.

Most countries have already fallen silent, and today will be the longest day of Andy Beck's life. Will he be able to stave off the reanimation virus from his nation's shores? Can he stop society from descending into anarchy as it has elsewhere?

The planet is in meltdown. The pressure is on. The countdown has begun, and only one thing is for sure: This is doomsday.

It’s a great story

But this book lost my attention from time to time. The other books in this story kept me interested.

Today+Zombies= Thought provoking

This is the prequel we needed! It explains the beginning of the end and captures the absolute hypocrisy and craziness that is MSM and politics today. Add zombies and you’ve got one heck of a book that will make you think about how easy it would be to start something like this. If Zombies were real!

Great read

I have read all of the Safe Haven and End of Everything books and totally enjoyed them. Have read so much about the audable editions I thought I would try one. Have just finished listening to Save Haven- Doomsday and was totally blown away. When you read a story it is you that imagines what someone sounds like or what they are feeling. With Ms Bretton's narration I was able to pick up so much more of the story line. The accents they she used really helped to put me in the proper area as the author meant. I'm in California so there aren't many English or Scottish accents to go by. Lol. Thouraly enjoyed it and am now going to get all of the audible editions.

Doom and gloom

It’s a book with plenty of mystery about the origins of the RAM breakout. Kim does a extremely excellent job with the narration. Love this series.

Another great story by Christopher Artinian!

I genuinely love the way this book read. I am a huge fan of the other series so a story from this perspective was both exciting and unique!

Fast and suspenseful

Narrator did not have great range making it difficult at times to know who was speaking

excellent read

I really enjoyed listening to this book! I like how the subplots had resolutions to them. And once again Kim did an excellent job!

We reap what we sow

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Most books in the zompoc genre focus on a group of people trying to survive after the apocalypse has started. This book, on the other hand, focuses on behind the scenes functioning of a government trying to stop the spread of the disease.

The characters were relatable and Mr. Artinian has made them very realistic. The decisions that the Prime Minister has to make are often heartbreaking and you can feel the emotions that he feels as he tries to save his country and its people. There are also enough zombie encounters to keep the diehard fans happy with Mia and Zeb, two MI6 agents fighting their way out of Paris.

There are also moments of comic relief, especially in form of the videographer, Harry. It's always nice to have a break in the heavy stuff when reading a book like this. Mr. Artinian has a wonderful way of incorporating humor in the direst of circumstances without it feeling contrived.

The narrator, Kim Bretton, really brings this book to life and her voices continue to amaze me. Her performance makes you feel like you are actually in the action, not just reading it. I always know that I am going to be blown away when I read/listen to books by this author and this narrator and this one doesn't disappoint!
