About this listen

“Alliwicious? Was that you? Did you talk?” Sally gawked at her life-size old man doll with her mouth gaping.

“Yes, I did. And you better close your mouth before a grasshopper leaps in.”

Her eyes narrowed. Her forehead creased. She pirouetted, scanning her surrounds. “Who’s here? Why are you gaslighting me?”

Alliwicious chuckled. “He said you would not believe it. But it is true, Sally old girl. I am your personal AI. And I prefer the name ‘Rodney if you do not mind…”

Sally is confident she can drag the little old trailer 1800 miles to provide emergency shelter for her cousin April. In February.

After all, the escapade is not this spunky 87 year old’s first rodeo.

She assures niece Joany that Alliwicious, Sally’s full-size man-doll, riding shotgun will keep the boogey-men at bay.

Bobby is confident his surprise installation of artificial intelligence into Alliwicious will please Gram Sally. But he didn’t have time to educate her about AI. Or about her new and improved man-doll named Alliwicious.

A life-size old man doll.

Sally. An 87 year old loner who's life hasn't slowed down even a little bit. She's taking her RV across many states to give her cousin somewhere to live in an emergency. We are introduced to her life-size old man doll, Alliwicious, who wants to be called Rodney. Huh? Oh. He is AI and provides GPS for the trip. Many adventures. Many crazy characters. Many animals. A body. A mystery.

I was gifted an Audible version of this book from the author through Story Origin. The narrator makes Sally sound like an crotchety old lady, which I really don't care for. Otherwise she adds excitement abd feels with a variety of voices for the other characters. Three stars for her.

Rodney is born!

Sally, the spry octogenarian, takes a cross country trip from AZ towing a camper to her cousin in Washington state. Along for the ride is her life-size man doll that her grandson Bobby has installed with AI. A feisty, independent Old lady traveling with an opinionated snarky AI companion sure leads to some scary and some hilarious adventures. The narration by Schann Stewart is excellent. I received a free audiobook code for my honest review.
