With our family's legacy, Meyers B&B, in the flailing hands of me, Sam Meyers, and my sister, Wynne, we're determined to revive the place. We've started a series of blind-date cooking classes and taken on our first boarder. Granddad is even now rolling in his grave.
Signed up for the class is our new guest, Aaron Saunders, a Californian transplant who's distractingly handsome and clearly up to no good. I can't quite figure him out. He blew into town and has been relentless in his search for...something.
The sexy sneak is intriguing. And we've had a steamy moment. Or two. But now I can't stop wondering why he's searching in secret. From the library to my own backyard, Aaron leaves no stone unturned or record book unopened. He's definitely gotten my attention. But that might not be the only thing he's after.

Overall, the story was fine, though not my favorite of the series and missing some of the easy humor of the previous books. The narrator was fine, but not exceptional, which may have contributed to my finding this book less amusing than the others. I hope the different narrator was a matter of the original narrator's lack of availability and not a creative choice, because the series definitely suffers for the change.
If you've read the others, it's worth getting to have all the stories, but having liked the others so much and having really looked forward to this release with such high hopes, I'm sorry to say I was disappointed. Only 3 stars.
Not bad, but I miss the original narrator.

I'll seek out more books by this author. I didn't think I'd like the narrator at first, but he was very good, and he won me over. Listen to the sample to be sure you like his voice.
Very entertaining.

I honestly cannot remember when I first stumbled onto the Men of Smithfield series. I do know that I have never read them in any particular order, and I am ALWAYS entertained. ALWAYS. This series is solid and I cannot praise Gregg enough for making what could be a dreary little town feel like home, with sexy, funny, unique gay men who have a knack for taking the 'scenic' route on that path of romance. (Gees, I sound cheesy, but seriously, this series is one of my favorites.
In regards to Sam and Aaron, it was a cute story. I liked Sam from the get-go. He entertained me with his constant snarky comments, and his knack for "getting caught" in the most delightful and amusing situations. Aaron was also very appealing, especially during the initial meeting scene. I couldn't have laughed harder, if I tried.
Throw in a 'mini' mystery, nosy friends, sassy 'not ready to retire' librarians, and a few other minor characters, all providing playful banter, and I'm pleased. I also appreciated the 'fleshing out" of Adam's brother Cole, one of the immature twins from Adam and Holden's story-- MY ULTIMATE FAVORITE of the Smithfield series-- and I was even happier.
Oh and let's not forget Sam's naughty bedroom talk. OMG!!! *fans self* I am not a fan of phone sex, but let me be clear... each and every time Sam whispered what he wanted to do to Aaron, I pressed rewind to hear it over again, and again. I still can't get enough! Seriously folks! I get hot just thinking about it... I may need another listen...
Happy Reading!

Any additional comments?
BUT had a hard time following the family history.I liked Sam and Aaron and all the secondary characters! Singles cooking night sounded like so much fun! I would love to go stay at the Meyers' B&B :)
I enjoyed this one

I'm a fan of Shannon Gunn who narrated the other books in this series, but I did like this narrator a lot. Unfortunately, it seems this is one of only two audiobooks he's narrated.
Boring story, unlikable characters
