Publisher's summary

Once upon a Time meets Harry Potter.

Gwyn has been raised at Maludom, an orphanage run by Morgan Le Fey where children were trained to become thieves. And Gwyn is the best thief of them all. So when she finds a crystal sphere in an old, abandoned house, her first instinct is to steal it.

But a dark spell sucks her inside of it throwing her into another, magical world.

Gwyn finds herself on the front lawn of a dark and mysterious castle called Wickmore Academy when eight young students walk out of the doors.

She surely doesn't expect that all of them are villains from the fairy-tale stories.

From the wolf of Little Red Riding Hood to Captain Hook; from Ursula to Maleficent...no one is missing.

Their stories haven't been written yet, and Gwyn might be the key to saving them all.

Dive into a new adventure with all your favorite villains!

I really enjoyed this fairytell twist

This book is really unique, the tittle makes it sound like it would be like most high school romance books, and she would be sent off to a school filled with obvious villains. However, that is not how this book is at all. The author approached the whole setting in a different way that i really enjoyed. If you love fairy telling retellings in a unique way, this book is for you.

interesting twist

This is an interesting twist on our favorite fairy-tales. Gwyn has been raised in an orphanage and trained to do some very interesting things. She grabs something she probably shouldn't, and wakes up someplace strange. Enter the other characters that are just as confused as she is. I listened to the audiobook, the dual narrators are amazing

Unique twist on story retelling

I personally couldn’t get into the female narrator but that doesn’t take away from the amazing storyline.

Loved this!

I love loved this story. The world building the characters just amazing! I couldn’t put it down it was so rich in fantasy . I love that I detect a bit of a retelling of a classic. I loved how the characters were all teens trying to discover who they are and with the guidance of Morgan le fey and the deceptive Merlin. Perfect to read or listen to around the house doing chores or kicking your feet up in bed.

Unique twist on the villains

This is a very fun take on seeing the villains from many of the different fairytale stories we all know so well. What would happen if all these villains were sent somewhere else and had no memories of their past or knowing what they would become? Toss in a girl from earth with selective amnesia and wait for the sparks to fly and drama to start. I’m seriously excited to see what’s going to happen next and loved the different points of view. I was drawn in from the moment I hit play and wanted to keep going.

Unique Tale

Elisa S. Amore and Kiera Legend are known for their supernatural school books. Teen Villians is a bit different. This looks at fairy tales putting villains such as Maleficent and Ursula up front. The main character though has the unique ability to give her classmates powers. Gwen doesn't understand how she got here and how there was nothing modern in her surroundings. I enjoyed this story and the setup of the series' overall arc.
I mostly enjoyed the narration. I always love when multiple narrators are used for different characters, especially when it's a male voice instead of a woman trying to capture the tone. Patricia Santomasso was good; I liked her as the character. Ass for Stephen Dexter, he has a great voice but sounds too old for the character he voiced.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book.
I was given a copy for review; all opinions are my own.

Unique twisted fantasy

Wow! I really enjoyed this book! I loved all the characters and the hints about who the characters truly are.

This definitely starts of a mystery but the story sucks you in until the end. I loved the foreshadowing throughout the book, and the ending makes me excited to see what will happen next.

I will definitely be checking out what happens next.

School of Evil is on fire 🔥!

School of Evil (Teen Villains, Book 1) begins with a great premise that sets the tone. The essence of the storyline is intriguing. A fascinating cast of characters that I look forward to learning more about them. The plot keeps you listening. The only thing missing is the detailed world-building descriptions and settings. I just wish the authors gave us more vivid words to showcase the world. I'm looking forward to finding out more about this place and seeing how the story unfolds.

Patricia Santomasso and Stephen Dexter nailed the dual narration. I loved both narrator's inflections and performances. Patricia articulated Gwyn's character very well and her pitch sounded in the character's range. Stephen's timbre is a great portrait of the male main villain.

Definitely drew me in with quite a twist

Both are new to me authors and I quite enjoyed this book. I loved the play on fairy tale villains. It has a very interesting premise and it seemed well paced throughout. I enjoyed the world building and the twist that came with it. I’m intrigued to find out more about the how and why of it all therefore I’m definitely interested in continuing to the next book.

The narrators did a pretty good job embracing the characters. Tone and inflection were well done. Definitely a well paired duo.
